If you’re eyeing up some Rompopolo-inspired weapons in Monster Hunter Wilds, you’re going to need Poison Sacs, among other items. Poison Sacs are monster organs filled with a toxin, which is what makes them great for forging powerful weaponry.
To get your hands on Poison Sacs, however, you’re going to be spending some time farming one of Wilds’ best Large Monsters, and that’s the Rompopolo! Without further ado, here’s where to find Poison Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Where to find Poison Sac in Monster Hunter Wilds
Poison Sacs are a possible drop from Low Rank Rompopolo in Monster Hunter Wilds, and this is the only monster that the item will drop from. This Large Monster can typically be found in the oilsilt areas of Oilwell Basin.
If you’ve managed to get through most of Monster Hunter Wilds’ story and begin participating in High Rank hunts, you might have some trouble tracking a Low Rank Rompopolo down. Unfortunately, High Rank Rompopolo’s do not drop Poison Sacs; they instead drop Toxin Sacs.
One way of countering this and hunting multiple Low Rank Rompolo’s in quick succession is by taking part in SOS Flare Quests. You can also rest at your Tent using Guild Points to see if the monster spawns.
SOS Flare Quests can be accessed via Alma’s Quest Menu, and will allow you to specifically search for a Low Rank Rompolo hunt provided you set the quest target to Rompopolo, and the quest difficulty to Low Rank. The same method can be used to hunt High Rank monsters that aren’t currently available.
With some luck, you should have some Poison Sacs to forge armor and weapons with after a few Rompopolo hunts. Best of luck!
