No Rest for the Wicked reveals its biggest update yet and a roadmap as its maker goes fully independent
Moon Studios promised to deliver some major No Rest for the Wicked news in 2025, and after a brief teaser in January, the developer has finally spoken. Overnight, we got treated to a new episode of Wicked Inside, the showcase dedicated to just the action RPG.
Apart from the gameplay updates coming soon to the game, the bigger news may just be that the team is now fully independent, having acquired the game’s publishing rights from its defunct publisher, Private Division.
The Breach, of course, is the big update that’s been in the works for months. The showcase showed off a lot of the new content, gameplay tweaks and quality of life tweaks coming to No Rest for the Wicked with this one.
The Breach is the game’s biggest update since it started its Early Access journey last year, and it’s set to arrive on April 30. The Breach’s volume of new content includes plenty of new enemies, weapons, gear, factions and even doubling the overall world size with the addition of new areas.
The big feature that remains missing, of course, is co-op. Moon touched on the ability to play alongside other players, confirming that it will be part of the first major update beyond The Breach. Four-player co-op will be shown off prior to launch, so you can look forward to that, too. On the more development side, fans of the Ori series will undoubtedly be thrilled to learn that celebrated composer Gareth Coker has joined to create new music for No Rest for the Wicked.
Capping off all the good news is the game going on sale at 30% off on Steam. Even though you’re going to have to wait over a month still to play the new content, what’s there today is well worth experiencing – especially at that price.
