Blade & Sorcery – Known Issues and How to Fix Them
In this guide you’ll find explanations to all the most common problems we get here!
Bugs and Issues [Solved]
Infinite Loading
- Loading 18% – If you’ve just bought the game and it’s infinitely loading, delete your saves as per.
- Loading Mods – If your game is infinitely loading mods, remove them and see if it works, then slowly add them back until it breaks.
- Loading Save Data 100% – If your game is infinitely loading your save data, disable OneDrive.
Infinitely loading on the main menu when you’ve deleted saves & removed all mods? Try double tapping the spacebar, this is a unity issue, not something the Devs can fix.
None of these fixes worked? You can try two things!
- If you’re on steam you can verify the file integrity Right click -> Properties -> Installed Files -> Verify File Integrity (If you bought the game on the oculus app, reinstalling does the same thing.)
- Completely reset the game via a “Clean Install”.
Crashing
- If your game is crashing, remove your mods and test if it works. If it does, slowly add them back until it breaks and you’ll have narrowed it down to one.
- If your game is crashing on startup, try a Clean Install.
- If your game crashes and you get a steam error code, try googling that error. 9 times out of 10 you’ll find the fix from a random reddit thread!
Lag
If your game is lagging make sure your PC specifications match the minimum/recommended on steam. You can also turn down the Physics/Graphical settings in game.
Fixes
- If one half of your monitor has gone green and blury in the headset, disable Oculus MRC.
- If the game is incredibly saturated and dark on your monitor, disable HDR in windows settings and turn it off on your monitor.
If you’re having a problem not listed here but have mods installed, try the game without them.
Deleting Saves
Navigate to:
%userprofile%\Documents\My Games\BladeAndSorcery\Saves\
And delete either the entire default folder or all your saved characters.
Screenshaking while Playing
OculusVR was the cause, switching to SteamVR fixed it.
