How to unlock all Tamagotchi Plaza secret shops

0

Tamagotchi Plaza starts with ten shops for players to attract customers to and eventually upgrade into bigger shops with more tools at their disposal, but did you know that there are a handful of secret shops to unlock and get to work at too? These include another pool, a sushi shop, and more, and will go a long way in helping Tamahiko Town eventually host the Tamagotchi Fest.

If you’re hoping to find these secret shops, you’ve got to do a little work to unlock them first. To help you out with that, here’s how to unlock all Tamagotchi Plaza secret shops.

All Tamagotchi Plaza Secret Shops and how to unlock them

Once you have played the minigames at all ten original shops in Tamagotchi Plaza, you’ll then be able to unlock two more shops to work at: the Sushi Shop and the Shuriken Shop.

If you then upgrade all original shops to Metchi level (two out of four stars), and then upgrade specific existing shops to Gotchi level (three out of four stars), you can also unlock two more secret shops: The Afternoon Pool, and the Glasses Galette Shop.

There’s also the Sushi Shuriken Shop – a combination of the Sushi Shop and Shuriken Shop – but it is not yet known how to unlock that yet.

All of Tamagotchi Plaza’s secret shops and exactly how to unlock them are as follows:

Sushi Shop and Shuriken Shop

First things first, you want to make sure you have visited all ten of the original shops found across Tamahiko Town in Tamagotchi Plaza.

If you’re not sure which ship to visit next, take a look at your map to see all of the available shops, and which ones you’re yet to visit.

After having visited all the shops in Tamahiko Town (and played their minigames at least once), go ahead and pay a visit to the road that’s between your house and the Personal Training Gym.

You should run into both King Tamahiko and Princess Tamahiko here. After talking to them, there will then be two hidden shops through the wooden doors behind where they were standing: these are the Sushi Shop and the Shuriken Shop.

Both the Sushi Shop and Shuriken Shop make use of the new capabilities of the Switch 2 JoyCons, requiring you to use mouse controls and motion controls to dish out sushi to customers or put on an impressive Shuriken show. They’re quite tricky to get used to if you haven’t used them before!

The next few secret shops are combinations of existing shops. These are:

Glasses Galette Shop

To unlock the Glasses Galette Shop in Tamagotchi Plaza, you must upgrade both the Eyewear Shop and Galette Shop to Gotchi level (that’s three out of four stars).

Once you manage that, visit your house and a brief scene will play out (shown above). Afterwards, the Glasses Galette Shop will be available to visit in Tamahiko Town! It will also already have a three-star Gotchi rating upon being built.

The Afternoon Pool

To unlock The Afternoon Pool in Tamagotchi Plaza, you must upgrade both The Night Pool and the Afternoon Tea Shop to Gotchi level (that’s three out of four stars).

Afterwards, visit your house, where another brief scene will play out. Following this, The Afternoon Pool will be open for business, and it will have a three-star Gotchi rating already.

Sushi Shuriken Shop

The Sushi Shuriken Shop is the third and final shop that is exclusive to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition of Tamagotchi Plaza. At the time of writing, we aren’t quite certain how the shop is unlocked given that both the Sushi Shop and Shuriken Shop cannot be upgraded.

We’ll update this page as soon as we find out how to unlock this shop!
