Love and Deepspace Abyssal Chaos: How to get all of Sylus’ endings in Final Farewell

0

Partner up with Sylus in Love and Deepspace‘s Abyssal Chaos endgame roguelike dungeon mode, and you get to hang out with everyone’s favourite humanoid dragon man buffed up to Level 80 Awakened, which is pretty cool in itself. Invite him along to test your combined mettle against the Final Farewell commission and you’ll find yourself on track to seeing one of six unique endings.

Seeing every outcome in Abyssal Chaos comes with plenty of rewards, and while it’s not a waste of time to get the same ending on multiple runs, the most efficient way to play is to aim for a different ending with every playthrough. Read on for details of every Abyssal Chaos Final Farewell Sylus ending, and the exact steps you need to follow to unlock them.

LaDS Abyssal Chaos Final Farewell: All Sylus Endings

There are six total endings to the Final Farewell commission with Sylus; however, two of them are minor variants on a couple of others, so you only need to play through the commission four times in total to unlock all the outcomes – assuming you pick all the correct answers, that is.

Below are the right choices to make for each of Sylus’ endings in Final Farewell.

Ending 1: Devour

Answers by scene:

  • Final Farewell I: Alright, let’s go.
  • Final Farewell II: Leave.
  • Final Farewell III: This is a bad idea.
  • Final Farewell IV: Investigate further.
  • Final Farewell V: Look for another way in.
  • What Endures: Leave for now.

Devour is the standard ending to Final Farewell that you tend to get if your decisions didn’t unlock any other special outcomes for the finale, mostly by avoiding being too curious about anything that catches Sylus’ attention and backing out of risky-sounding choices when given the option. It’s thus likely to be the one you’ll see if you make choices at random on a first playthrough, but you should follow these steps if you want to ensure that you see it, rather than leaving it to chance.

Ending 2: Lost

Answers by scene:

  • Final Farewell I: Let’s go on foot.
  • Final Farewell II: Observe the guard.
  • Final Farewell III: This is a bad idea.
  • Final Farewell IV: Enter the adjacent room.
  • Final Farewell V: Look for another way in.
  • What Endures: Is this consciousness data…

Lost is a “secret” ending to Final Farewell that unlocks via a hidden combat node, reached by showing a degree of curiosity but never unlocking any of the mission items needed to get the special endings. You could regard this as the “bad” ending to Sylus’ route in Final Farewell, but there are no actual consequences outside of a rather downbeat end to the story, and you’ll actually even get an achievement for completing the hidden combat event.

Endings 3 & 4: Beyond the Walls / Indulgence

Answers by scene:

  • Final Farewell I: Let’s go on foot.
  • Final Farewell II: Observe the guard.
  • Final Farewell III: Take one.
  • Final Farewell IV: Enter the screening room.
  • Final Farewell V: Enter the six-digit code.
  • What Endures: There’s more to this.
  • Hidden Choice: Respect their wishes

Following these steps exactly will unlock two endings simultaneously: Beyond the Walls and Indulgence, the latter being a variation on the former with an extra scene unlocked by a special mission item. At the end of the commission, the Indulgence end card will display, but your endings tracker will correctly show that you’ve unlocked both.

If you want to unlock Beyond the Walls separately at any point to see its end card, simply make the opposite choice during Final Farewell III (“This is a bad idea” instead of “Take one”) so that you don’t pick up the second special mission item, and otherwise follow the steps for Indulgence.

Endings 5 & 6: Self-Imprisonment / Treasure

Answers by scene:

  • Final Farewell I: Let’s go on foot.
  • Final Farewell II: Leave.
  • Final Farewell III: Take one.
  • Final Farewell IV: Enter the screening room.
  • Final Farewell V: Enter the six-digit code.
  • What Endures: There’s more to this.
  • Hidden Choice: Victims shouldn’t bear the cost.

Following these steps exactly will unlock two endings simultaneously: Self-Imprisonment and Treasure, the latter being a variation on the former with an extra scene unlocked by a special mission item. At the end of the commission, the Treasure end card will display, but your endings tracker will correctly show that you’ve unlocked both.

If you want to unlock Self-Imprisonment separately at any point to see its end card, simply make the opposite choice during Final Farewell III (“This is a bad idea” instead of “Take one”) so that you don’t pick up the second special mission item, and otherwise follow the steps for Treasure.
