Tears of Themis Episode 3: The Weight of a Soul walkthrough

Episode 3 of Tears of Themis, The Weight of a Soul, is where everything starts to coalesce a bit for our heroine. Having now met and spent at least a bit of time with all four male leads, she’s inducted into the mysterious NXX: a crime-fighting organisation that was vaguely alluded to in the first couple of chapters and which (as you’ll probably have realised by now) all of her potential love interests are secretly working for.

Despite technically being the first husbando you met in the game, Artem was a bit out of focus in his earlier appearances, so Episode 3 is where he finally gets a bit more screen time after declaring that he wants to take on the protagonist as a full partner at Themis Law Firm.

This one’s a classic country house murder mystery: a wealthy man is found dead of a drug overdose, and it quickly transpires that he was a nasty piece of work whose teenaged son, live-in mistress, and disabled daughter’s nanny all have reason to want to do away with him. Figuring out who administered the drug is a major part of our heroine’s NXX entrance exam!

Tears of Themis Episode 03-05: Analysis answers

Combine the following clues during the first analysis section in this stage:

• Eyewitness testimony + Stopped from tampering with the medicine

Then, during the second analysis section, combine the following clues:

• Gordon’s contraindicated medication + People with pharmaceutical knowledge

Finally, during the third and final analysis section, combine these clues in order:

• Abnormal romantic relationship + Fannie’s risk of being fired
• Common enemy + Inheritance dispute

Tears of Themis Episode 03-11: Dialogue choices

This is perhaps the first time in Tears of Themis’ main story that you’re required to make some dialogue choices in order to advance the story. Fortunately, it works the same as presenting evidence, in that you’ll be able to try again if you get it wrong the first time.

Make the following dialogue choices when prompted to continue the story:

Tears of Themis Episode 03-15: Trial answers

Present the following when prompted to provide evidence during the trial:

3. Observation notebook (In answer to “The evidence that proves Ms Scott’s strong motive is…”)
4. Lab report on white powder (In answer to “The evidence that proves Ms Scott executed her plan is…”)
5. Fannie’s Testimony 2 (In answer to “Ms Scott is a suspect. She entered the kitchen with a motive. The proof of that is…”)
6. Decrypted illegal transaction records (In answer to “Mr Gordon Grant wanted to donate his inheritance to further the production of illicit goods! I ask the court to look at this…”)
