How to Beat T10

Strategy #1

I’ve beaten T10 with Alucard and these “badbois.” Yes, that’s the tree advisor that’s getting slammed by that woodpecker. The artifacts are nice, but you can’t harvest trees until the mid-game. It worked surprisingly well, I must say. I also max out Denarii with two advisors, pick Resurrect, Musketeers (they carry hard early on), and of course, Sophy.

My strat is generally to luck through the early game, cheese the mid-game, then try to survive the end-game. I always go for an early research table, and after getting the mill, I managed to get 4 assassins. I’m always resurrecting undead as they’re great fodder. I researched healers and then the worms for mid-game, and they carried hard against mage stacks, etc., with their pop-up nuke. However, they’re so squishy that if they fight against backline “tonkers,” I summon some undead to help them out.

Another thing I do is keep the bought buildings as clean as possible because I always max out building upgrades whenever I can. Always buy the two available in the shop, always pick them in waves, always pick them in story events, etc. So I also try to avoid the 1000 resource patches because they take up a less-than-ideal slot (I don’t care about productivity on an iron patch), and I can research new patches if necessary. I prioritize always buying building upgrades, then buying useful artifacts. I rarely spend money on buildings, unit upgrades, or resources, unless it’s absolutely necessary (like buying 2 assassin buildings).

The biggest problem with this strat is that you must keep your core units alive no matter what, as you can’t get them back without destroying your undead stack. And the early game is super hard and requires RNGesus to not be too brutal. Don’t pick the enemy “buttbellies” early (I keep forgetting their real name, but they’re the slightly bigger early-game enemies); they’re too tanky and they hit like a truck. Also, avoid enemy cavalry unless you overpower them.

Strategy #2

Saladin King Bees Strat Threat 10

Advisors:

  • Ember – to deal with the early game without any worries (make sure you have some meat at the frontline; anything like randomly summoned militia, madmen, swordsmen, or peasants would suffice. Have some peasant huts built ready for quick reinforcements).
  • Sophy – no comments, she is OP and the game maker.
  • Phoenix – 7% chance to resurrect fallen comrades helps a lot and often.
  • Wise Tree – to farm grapes and crystals that you are very reliant on (crystals for healers and the blue magic university – more on this later; grapes for, obviously, bees and, if you are lucky enough, for some wine to boost morale).
  • Golem – 10% discount on buildings to cope with their inhuman prices at higher threats.
  • Flunkey – doubles your denarii income so you can buy more desired stuff (I do believe he can be freely substituted with someone else of your choice. Panther seems to have a very nice bonus, for example, or what not).

Gameplay:

Preferable starting bonuses are those giving you wood and a few melee troops.

Early game, you farm water and wheat, quickly place the research table for basic resources on one of the enchanted tiles (aiming for plenty of gold mines and then a somewhat equal amount of other stuff). Sell wheat at the market to earn 75 gold in order to place the gold mine, remove the market forever, and place that gold mine (keep in mind that you shall never go below 75 gold so you can place one more gold mine). Spam Saladin’s 2nd skill to summon units.

Buildings that you want:

  • Troops: Bees’ Hive x2-x3, Healers’ Hut x1-x2, Longbowmen’s Camp x1-x2
  • Infrastructure: Archmage’s University x1, Forge, Oil Well (if no +150 oil is picked)
