Guide to Gold Ship

Choosing Legacies
To pick the right abilities for Gold Ship, focus on ones that help her Speed and Stamina the most. These are very important for her.
For example, I used my Special Week and Teio characters, who both had Special Week and Mejiro McQueen as parents, to get good abilities for my Gold Ship that won in URA.
If you don’t have good abilities for Late, Close, Medium, or Long distances, you should pick other characters that run like Gold Ship. Train them well, and then use them to give abilities to Gold Ship. Having good abilities with high stats will make training Gold Ship easier.
You can use any abilities that have good stats, even if they aren’t for an “End Closer” or “Late Runner.” But if you do this, Gold Ship might learn the wrong running style.

Support Cards
For Support Cards, a good setup for Gold Ship is 3 cards that boost speed, 2 that boost power, and 1 that boosts stamina. If you have the Super Creek SSR card, use it for stamina. It’s one of the best support cards you can get.
If you don’t have great SSR cards, it’s okay. You can use SR or even R cards. It will be harder to win, but it’s still possible. You can also borrow one SSR card from another player, like Super Creek, if you don’t have it.

Stat Priority
For stats, Speed is the most important for any character. If your character is slow, you will lose. But for Gold Ship specifically, here’s the order you should focus on her stats:
- Speed > Power > Stamina > Guts and Wit
Here are some good numbers to try for by the last race:
- Speed: 650
- Power: 650
- Stamina: 650
- Guts: 350
- Wit: 300
These are just goals, not strict rules. We’ll talk about how to get these high stats next.

How to Get High Stats
To get high stats, follow these steps:
Step 1: Rest and Recreation
Always keep Gold Ship in a “Good” or “Great” mood. This helps her train better and win races. Also, make sure she always has enough energy to finish training without failing. If she fails training because of low energy, you lose a turn, and she might get hurt or her mood might drop.

So, on your very first turn of training, make Gold Ship do recreation. This starts her off well for training.
Step 2: Friendship Training
During training, you’ll see your support card characters. Under them are bars that start empty and grey. As you train with them, the bars fill up. They go from blue to green, and then to orange when they are full.

You want to fill these bars as much as possible. Making all these bars orange will greatly improve how many stats you get. The fuller the bars are, the more effective your training is, and you get higher stats faster.
A good goal is to have all the friend bars orange by the time Summer Training starts. Summer Training happens after the Satsuki Sho race, on the 7th turn. You should rest when there are 8 turns left so Gold Ship has energy for Summer Training.
Step 3: Summer Training
The summer trip is a great time to raise stats because all training is at level 5, which means it gives more stats. Your friendships and support cards will also help you get extra stat boosts during this time.
Also, if Gold Ship is tired or in a bad mood, there’s a “rest and recreation” button that does both at once, instead of taking two turns.
Use summer training in one of two ways:
- Increase her main stats: speed, stamina, and power.
- Raise whichever of her stats are currently the lowest.
Both options are good. Choose what you think is best.
Extra Information: Rainbow Training
When your friendship with a support character is full, you will sometimes see a “rainbow training” option. These give a very big boost to the skill they apply to if you train them.
