Love and Deepspace Radiant Galaxy and Silver Galaxy co-ordinates
For the most part, the banner system in Love and Deepspace will be familiar enough to anyone who’s played a few gacha games before. However, there is at least one page of LaDS’ gacha that works a bit differently: Galaxy Explorer, accessed via a circular button in the top right-hand corner of both permanent and limited-time banner pages.
If you’re a LaDS regular, it’s well worth checking in with Galaxy Explorer every time you play. While it has a much lower chance of returning complete high-rarity Memories than the regular banners, Galaxy Explorer uses only free currencies, which you’ll likely accumulate faster than you can spend them, so you might as well give it a go.
And for a freebie, it has a decent rate of return: at minimum you’re guaranteed a 3-Star Memory or equivalent upgrade with every search, and more occasionally you’ll receive 4- and 5-Star Memory fragments or – once in a while when you get really lucky – a complete high-rarity Memory. As a final sweetener, some former event-exclusive Memories can now be exclusively obtained from Galaxy Explorer.
Read on below for a full explainer on Galaxy Explorer in Love and Deepspace, including how to change co-ordinates and some tips on what to try in both Radiant Galaxy and Silver Galaxy.
How to change co-ordinates in Galaxy Explorer
When viewing either Silver Galaxy or Radiant Galaxy in Love and Deepspace, you might not immediately realise that you can change the co-ordinates before beginning an exploration.
However, by dragging and pulling the arrows at both axes of the galaxy, you can choose co-ordinates between 1-20 (in increments of one) on the top axis, and between 0-100 (in increments of two) on the bottom axis.
These numbers don’t directly relate to anything in particular, but can be useful if you want to remember a pair of co-ordinates that brought you good luck for future use, or share them with the wider LaDS community (see below).
Once you’ve chosen your co-ordinates, tap Explore at the bottom of the screen to consume one of the Magnet currency items associated with your current galaxy (see below) and embark on a search.
Each exploration takes eight real-time hours by default, so even the most diligent player can only complete three per day under ordinary circumstances. However, you can use Speed-Up Cubes (a common reward drop from daily, event, and endgame activities) to instantly complete an exploration using Quick Explore at a rate of 1:1.
Love and Deepspace: Galaxy Explorer currencies and drop rates

In order to search for signals using Galaxy Explorer, you will need Silver Magnets and Radiant Magnets for the respectively named galaxies.
Fortunately, Silver Magnets are a common daily reward, and as such you’re likely to accumulate them much faster than you can spend them. (For example, after playing every day for six months, I have around 70 Silver Magnets I’ve yet to spend, even after completing at least one exploration per day and using all my Speed-Up Cubes!)
Radiant Magnets are a much rarer reward, but if you complete weekly tasks and endgame explorations, take part in events, and spend Quality Time with the companions, you’re still likely to get at least one almost every day – especially since they are also a fairly frequent random bonus drop from Silver Galaxy explorations.
The drop rates for each Galaxy are as follows:
Silver Galaxy
| 3-Star Memory | 85% |
| 4-Star Memory Shard x10 | 10% |
| 4-Star Memory | 5% |
| Bonus Drop: Radiant Magnet | ? |
Radiant Galaxy
| 4-Star Memory Shard x10 | 70% |
| 4-Star Memory Shard x20 | 15% |
| 4-Star Memory | 10% |
| 5-Star Memory Shard x10 | 4.5% |
| 5-Star Memory Shard x20 | 0.4% |
| 5-Star Memory | 0.1% |
As you can see, Galaxy Explorer is a great way to ensure you have a complete collection of fully ranked-up 3-Star Memories, since they’re the most common drop from Silver Galaxy, and you always get a complete card when returning a 3-Star.
Meanwhile, Memory Shards aren’t complete cards, but can be used to craft or rank up a full card once you’ve collected 30 Shards (for a 4-Star Memory) or 40 Shards (for a 5-Star Memory).
Any excess after a card is already fully ranked-up is converted into R Heartsand (Blue), SR Heartsand (Purple), or SSR Heartsand (Gold) currencies, the same as if you’d pulled a duplicate of a max-ranked card from the gacha.
Love and Deepspace Radiant Galaxy and Silver Galaxy co-ordinate tips
Nobody is entirely sure how significant the co-ordinates you choose during Galaxy Exploration are. Many players are very convinced that it’s all completely random, while others swear that there are at least a few sweet spots that tend to return better results.
r/LoveAndDeepspace is full of player tips about potentially lucky co-ordinates and – since my approach of just plugging in random numbers based on vibes wasn’t getting me very far – I’ve been testing some of the most upvoted ones.
So far, while there are certainly no guarantees, I’ve seen a significantly improved drop rate of both Radiant Magnets and 4-Star Memory Shards when using 17/70 on Silver Galaxy, and a decent return including multiple complete 4-Star Memories from 09/52 in Radiant Galaxy. Credit is due to u/Alluringvoices and u/chloemmillerr, respectively, for those, and I’ll update this page with some more reliable tips after further testing.
Finally, I’m dubious of the frequent assertion that the companions’ birthdays are lucky, since you can’t actually enter two odd numbers into the co-ordinates, which means Zayne’s (05/09) doesn’t even work within the input rules. However, if you want to give it a try, you can get by with Rafayel’s (06/03) or Caleb’s (13/06) if you’re not precious about which axis you use for day and month, and of course Sylus (18/04) and Xavier (16/10) can work in either direction.
Free Memories in LaDS are lovely, I’m sure we can all agree. To maximise how many you get, check out our Love and Deepspace codes list for a full run-down of what you can claim right now!
