In the harsh world of Hollow Knight Silksong, all knowledge comes at a price. This means that to unlock the world map you will need to buy map pieces from merchants scattered across Pharloom, as well as finding them naturally in hidden places throughout your adventure, if you want to navigate the subterranean labyrinth effectively.
Unlocking map pieces often costs Rosaries, the common currency in Pharloom which you collect from defeated enemies and lose when you die.
While it’s wise to spend your Rosaries liberally on useful items rather than hold onto them only to lose them in death later, many powerful tools and upgrades such as Mask Shards require you to save up a hefty sum.
Thankfully, map pieces in Silksong are relatively affordable. If you can find them, that is. Each one can be prised from a wandering merchant, known as Shakra, for the right amount of Rosaries.
Otherwise, you will need to investigate hidden nooks and dangerous passageways to track them all down. To save you fumbling in the dark any longer, here’s everywhere you need to look!

The Slab Map location
The Slab Map doesn’t require a purchase, but rather exploration. In the middle of The Slab, there’s a bench.
To the right of the bench is a secret passage which hides the map piece.
Bellhart Map location
To get the Bellhart Map, you first need to defeat the Widow Boss in the same way as you would start the process to upgrade your Needle.
After collecting Silk Spear, Swift Step, Drifter’s Cloak and Cling Grip, you can reach the upper part of town to take on the boss, which will free the townspeople and grant Hornet access to its amenities, of which a new location for Shakra is one.
This map piece costs 40 Rosaries.
Far Fields Map location
To get the Far Fields map, you need to find Shakra in the nook underneath Pilgrim’s Rest. From the western exit, she’ll be at the end of the third tunnel on your right.
This map costs 50 Rosaries.
The Whispering Vaults Map location
You collect the Whispering Vaults map from just below where the Vaults area meets Songclave, where you find Jubilana.
This map piece costs 70 Rosaries.
Hunter’s March Map location
The Hunter’s March Map can be tricky, because Shakra can appear in a couple of different places depending on your actions.
If you help her defeat her enemies, she appears in the west of the Hunter’s March and charges 70 Rosaries for the piece.
If you leave her without help however, she can be found resting in the east of the area, but still charges 70 Rosaries to unlock the map.
Greymoor Map location
The Greymoor Map is sold by Shakra in her Greymoor location near Craw Lake on the eastern side of Greymoor. It costs 70 Rosaries.
Bilewater Map location
For the Bilewater Map, you need to visit Shakra in her Bilewater location, which is at the end of a tunnel towards the bottom of Bilewater, about level with Bilehaven but with three large tunnels in between.
This time it costs 90 Rosaries.
Sinner’s Road Map location
For the Sinner’s Road Map, again you need to find Shakra near the middle of the area, where she will charge 90 Rosaries to unlock the map piece.
Now that you have a full map, it will be much easier to backtrack through the world and mop up challenges like finding all of the Lost Fleas.
