Darkryte is the rarest regular ore in all of The Forge, only the special Arcane Crystal Ore has a lower base chance of spawning. This page will tell you how to track down the Mythical tier material, as well as the best places to go hunting for your very own chunk of Darkryte.
Darkryte is a prized ore not just for its rarity, but because of its innate trait which gives any armour you craft with it a similar ability to the Shadow Race: when being attacked your character will have a percentage chance to dodge the attack and take no damage.

The Forge Darkryte location
Rivalite is an Mythical rarity ore in The Forge which can only be mined from Volcanic Rock in the Forgotten Kingdom area.
The key stats of Darkryte are as follows:
- Rarity: Mythical
- Base Mining Chance: 1/6655
- Forging Multiplier: 6.3x
- Trait: On hit, chance to turn into a shadow and dodge incoming attack
Because Darkryte can only be mined from Volcanic Rock, this means the best place to mine it is inside the Volcanic Depths sub-area of the Ruined Cave in the Forgotten Kingdom.
To mine Volcanic Rocks, you need a minimum base mining strength of 100, which means you need at least the Lightite Pickaxe to break them. Once you’ve got that equipment, make your way down the right-hand fork at the entrance to the Ruined Cave, then take a right until you reach the Miner who sells the Magma Pickaxe.
Here, you will see two Basalt Veins which cover the entrance to the Volcanic Depths. Inside, you should see many Volcanic Rocks to break, as well as a whole heap of high-level enemies guarding them.
