The Forge: Elite Rogue skeleton and Deathaxe skeleton locations
This guide will tell you where to reliably find both Elite Rogue Skeletons and Elite Deathaxe Skeletons in the Forge, which you need to defeat to complete mid-game quests in the Forbidden Kingdom area.
As your journey progresses through The Forge, you not only mine rarer-and-rarer materials and craft better-and-better gear, but also fight tougher-and-tougher enemies.
Quite a few quests as you reach the mid-game of your adventure will task you with taking down the upgraded versions of previously conquered regular enemies such as the Rogue Skeleton and Deathaxe Skeleton.
The difference between the regular and Elite versions isn’t too huge, but as you’ll soon find out Elite Rogue and Deathaxe Skeletons deal a lot more damage than their more common counterparts.
That means you should upgrade your armor and get the best weapons you can find before setting out to find these particularly buff baddies.
However, unless you get lucky and someone else is already mining the spot to clear the way for you, you will need a minimum base mining strength of 78 to access Elite enemies.
Where to find Elite Rogue Skeletons and Elite Deathaxe Skeletons in The Forge
To fight Elite enemies in the Forge, you will need to make your way to the Volcanic Depths sub-area of the Ruined Cave in the Forgotten Kingdom.
To get there, follow these steps:
- Enter the Ruined Cave via the main entrance and bear right
- Go up the slope which has the “Danger” sign above it towards the Ashen Path
- Take a right at the top of the slope and head towards the Miner merchant who sells the Magma Pickaxe
- Next to the Miner, you will find two Basalt Veins blocking the entrance to a secret passage
- Under the Basalt Veins, you will find the Volcanic Depths
- You will find Elite Rogue Skeletons and Elite Deathaxe Skeletons stalking the inside of this hot and smoky subterranean area
Once you’ve found your way inside the Volcanic Depths, you need to keep your wits about you. This is one of the highest level areas in the game, featuring not just Elite enemies but terrifying Reapers and Slimes too. To mine the Volcanic Rock native to this area, you will also need a base mining strength of 100, so come prepared!
If you’re having trouble, remember that you get credit for defeating an enemy even if you just hit it once. With the high-level miners who tend to frequent this area, you can tag along as they work their way between rocks and “help” them take out the enemies who bother them – it’s a win-win!
