Budget-Friendly Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Lego Sets Are Available Now

0

Lego Mario Kart characters can now compete against Sonic the Hedgehog and Knuckles thanks to the launch of the first Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds Lego sets. Exactly one year after Lego Super Mario expanded beyond platforming playsets with buildable karts, Lego Sonic the Hedgehog has made the leap from platforming to the racetrack. The Lego Sonic Racing launch lineup includes Sonic’s Speedster Lightning Car and a two-pack featuring Silver’s Car vs. Knuckles’ Monster Truck.

Check out both Lego Sonic Racing sets below. We’ve also included a list of the Lego Sonic platforming playsets available in stores now. A handful of Sonic Lego sets are retiring soon, including the priciest build in the lineup. The 590-piece Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster Lego set is on sale for only $48 (was $80) at the Lego Store and $64 at Amazon.

If you don’t own a copy of Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds, the Amazon-exclusive edition with a bonus double-sided poster is on sale for $45 at Amazon for PS5, Xbox Series X, and Nintendo Switch.

Other notable Sonic the Hedgehog Lego deals include the 290-piece Cyclone vs. Metal Sonic set for $25.17 (was $30) and the Team Sonic Command Truck for $63 (was $70). Super Sonic vs. Egg Drillster is one of a handful of Sonic playsets recently discontinued by Lego. If you’re interested in Shadow’s Escape, Knuckles’ Guardian Mech, and Tails’ Adventure Boat, you’ll want to pick those up soon. Those three sets will probably sell out soon, just like Knuckles and the Master Emerald Shrine and the Shadow the Hedgehog display model.

Amazon also has deals on a few other Sonic sets that aren’t retiring soon, including Knuckles vs. Dr. Eggman Egg Crusher Mech for $40.49 (was $45) and Super Shadow vs. Biolizard for $39 (was $45). And if you’re interested in a larger display model, Lego Ideas: Sonic the Hedgehog Green Hill Zone is still available for right around retail price from third-party sellers. Officially retired by Lego, the 1,125-piece build was Lego’s first Sonic set, and it remains the only model with over 1,000 pieces.
