How to increase power output in Arknights Endfield

0

How to increase your power output in Arknights Endfield is something you’ll have to contend with pretty quickly after finishing Paving the Way. Once you start expanding your main factory, you run up against that initial 200 power limit very fast. There’s one solution to that problem, and it has two components – an effective-enough early game method and a much more effective (and lucrative) one you’ll unlock later.

This guide explains how to increase power output in Arknights Endfield and what to do with thermal banks and batteries.

The only way to increase power output is to build thermal banks. These unlock once you have access to the second tier of the AIC tree and spend a point in the Power section. Thermal banks supply addition power to your base based on what fuel you’re putting in. Initially, you’ll only be able to power them with Originium Ore, and using this method, each thermal bank will provide an additional 50 power to your factory.

You’ll need to set up a little network that delivers fuel to the bank, or the bank won’t work. Wherever you’re producing fuel, make sure to add belts that deliver that fuel to your thermal banks. If your banks run out of fuel, the game cuts that extra power from your factory until you reboot the banks, which is definitely not a situation you want to be in. Take stock of how much Originium Ore you can use for thermal bank fuel, and expand accordingly.

Later in the game, after you unlock packaging units and more upgrades in the Power section, you can turn Ferrium into batteries, which provide much more power – up to 420, if you’re using the higher-end SC batteries. You can also sell batteries that you don’t need. It is for much later, though, so don’t plan on cranking out batteries for fun and profit soon after Paving the Way.
