This is one of the first times that your quest objective is left ambiguous in Crimson Desert, so, to keep you moving forward, here’s where to use the Mystical Key!
Where to use the Mystical Key in Crimson Desert
After completing your introductory quests where you play the role of a helpful hunk around town, you can open your inventory and examine the enigmatic Mystical Key you’ve been given.
Zoom in to examine the Mystical Key closer and your knowledge will advance, giving you the objective to head towards Hernand Castle.
Do so, then equip the Hernandian Attire you were gifted for helping the Tailor whose chimney you swept to pass through the gate.
Walk through the portcullis, then take a right to turn back on yourself, past the Contribution shop, to go through an inner gate, again with your fancy clothes as enough of an invitation.
Next, in the building you find yourself in, there’s a recipe in the kitchen, but your destination is up the stairs which are on the right as soon as you come inside.
At the top of the stairs, turn right and a maid will remark that the door next to her is always locked.
Be aware, you are not looking for the guarded door at the end of the chamber, which a guard will ward you away from as you approach. You’re after the door immediately on the left as you walk in.
Open the glowing chest to acquire the faded abyss artifact. Now enter the waiting Abyss Gate to continue your adventure!
