Soul Strike! SF Progress Event – Allies Guide
Guide to Allies
Basics
Allies used to be really powerful ‘allies’ in the beginning and mid game but lately they became much more useful and can help you in the late game as well, especially now with the addition of the fourth slot.
Allies such as Echo who can boost your whole party attack.
But there are a lot of allies who can apply status effects such as:
- Charlotte who can heal you and help you with shredding earth element resistance while also packing a punch.
- Vivet who can shred fire resistance and she is really helpful against a lot of monsters.
- Inabelle who can shred water resistance.
- Delia who can shred wind resistance and shield ALL your party by the same amount of damage the skill does.
- Felino who can apply a bleed and a defense reduction, really helpful if you plan to use skills that have boosted effects or damage against enemies who are bleeding
- Howard who can apply lots of burns .
There are also allies who can do a lot of damage for you as well:
- Charlotte in my opinion is on top of the list, with her enchant you can double her dps which can be further increased with her Awakening 3.
- Scarlet who is an ally based on number of attacks so she relies on attack speed as well so don’t forget about attack speed as well.
- Aisha who is the new comer is a really great addition to your arsenal, if you manage to get her a3 can help you dish out damage if enemies are bleeding.
3 Ways to Use
There are 3 different ways to use allies
- First is to use them as the main hitters, funnel all your resources into ally damage and attack and skills to buff up your allies like last bastion, force of mother nature (with enchant), goddess of war etc.. this method is really fun but not really the strongest or the cheapest to pull off
- Second is to use allies as setup for break in raid boss, you look at what breaks the boss and use allies that apply that effect (fear, stun, freeze etc..)
- Third is the most popular one which is using them as utility to buff up your character, so you would be using a mix of universal buffers like vanessa, echo, ran. and other element specific ones like inabelle, vivet, zeros (with enchant) etc..
Some other fun uses is using them as vessels for magnetic storm with maw in modes with many enemies like pot or just normal farming, or using survivability allies like delia and aisha (with enchant) if you’re dying too fast
All of these are valid depending on how much resources you put into evolving your allies, but if your playstyle is going solo rogue you can remove all allies and use tyrant’s sheath.
It’s debatable which one is better because some of the best players (epicbutters) use allies for utility and rarely use sheath, but some others like sheath so at the end of the day it’s up to you and what you think is more fun.
