Developer Creative Assembly has announced it’s working on a “truly special” Total War game that represents one of the developer’s “most ambitious” titles ever, and it’ll be revealed at The Game Awards soon.
“It’s a project long in the making that will mark a revolutionary new chapter for the Total War franchise,” the developer said.
This project, whatever it may be, will be announced at The Game Awards on Thursday, December 11. Creative Assembly will debut a trailer and show off the “first small glimpse of gameplay.”
“The wait will be worth it,” the developer said.
On December 16, the developers will “share some insight into their vision and what’s to come” for the game, Creative Assembly said.
This will be the third Total War game currently in the works at Creative Assembly, joining Total War: Medieval 3 and Total War: Warhammer III – Lords of the End Times. 2025 marks the 25th anniversary of the Total War series.
What could the mystery Total War game be? That’s anyone’s guess, but some are theorizing it may be the long-rumored Total War Star Wars game.
