Atomfall has you exploring post-apocalyptic northern England, where strange infectious plants and creatures are emerging and various hostile factions run rampant. As you explore – and try to survive – you’ll find all kinds of items to aid with your adventure, but you’ll also find that your backpack isn’t big enough to hold all of them. This is where Pneumatic Dispatch Tubes come in handy.
Pneumatic Dispatch Tubes essentially act as storage; think of it as your personal chest in Stalker 2, or your home in Fallout 3. The tubes are ultimately a place where you can store the items flooding your backpack that you don’t need right now, don’t want to sell, and may use later on. To make the most of them, here are all Pneumatic Dispatch Tube locations in Atomfall, and how to use the device.
All Pneumatic Dispatch Tube Locations in Atomfall, and how to use them
Pneumatic Dispatch Tubes are incredibly useful in Atomfall and should not be ignored, with the device acting as a storage source that you can use to safely stow away items for later use. This is particularly important given the limited inventory size in Atomfall, meaning players won’t physically be able to carry everything they find.
So, when your backpack is full, it’s worth locating a nearby bunker and using the Pneumatic Dispatch Tube inside to hoard some items for later. Placing meds, stims, and even weapons in here is worthwhile, meaning that when you next arrive at a Pneumatic Dispatch Tube – which are often in bunkers and other key areas – you can ensure that you’re fully prepared for whatever enemies or hurdles lie ahead.
You can even use Pneumatic Dispatch Tubes to safely stow away key items such as Atomic Batteries or other story-related items that you will need during the end-game (but can find quite early on in your playthrough) that I won’t spoil here. Then, you can use the Pneumatic Dispatch Tube inside of the Interchange to retrieve them whenever you’re ready to use them.
With that out of the way, let’s get down to business and detail where you can find every Pneumatic Dispatch Tube in Atomfall. All known Pneumatic Dispatch Tube locations can be found on the below map from MapGenie:
It’s worth noting that there are no Pneumatic Dispatch Tubes in the region of Wyndham Village. There are multiple in the neighbouring regions of Casterfell Woods, Slatten Dale, and Skethermoor though, and of course, there are even more to be found inside of the Interchange.
Some key Pneumatic Dispatch Tube Locations that you can easily access without too much trouble are as follows:
Interchange’s Central Processor
The Pneumatic Dispatch Tube found in the Interchange’s Central Processor is one of the earlier tubes you’ll run into, and one that you’ll regularly come back to as you continue to restore power to the Interchange.
While the Interchange itself is riddled with enemies – moreso as you begin to restore power, giving hostile factions access to the area – the Central Processor is a safe area free of foes. So, you can visit here whenever to drop off or retrieve some items without too much worry, especially if you’re exploring the Interchange.
Slatten Dale’s Bunker L7
Slatten Dale’s Bunker L7, which is a short walk away from Bunker L8 (where you wake up at the very beginning of the game), is a small bunker with few threats. In fact, the only threat is a lone infectious Feral enemy who you should have no issue taking down.

Casterfell Woods’ Remote Bunker
The Remote Bunker in the northeastern corner of Casterfell Woods is yet another bunker in a relatively safe area (bar a few Druids) that poses no threat to you, which makes heading inside to drop off some items into a Pneumatic Dispatch Tube no problem at all.
If you come here early on in your game, you will also find an NPC, Joyce Tanner, to talk with. However, she will move to the Interchange once you restore power to Data Store Charlie. Another important NPC, Mother Jago, is a short walk away from the bunker, so it’s likely that you’ll revisit this area often, making the nearby Pneumatic Dispatch Tube all the more handy.
Skethermoor’s Vehicle Storage Bunker
Both Skethermoor’s Vehicle Storage Bunker and Protocol Workshop Bunker are worth a quick visit if you’re in the region and need to deposit some items.
While both bunkers are packed with enemies, you are able to access and use the Pneumatic Dispatch Tube upon entering – where there are no foes to worry about – and can then quickly leave without any trouble. That said, both bunkers are worth exploring if you’ve yet to do so, as they contain some very important and useful items, as well as plenty of crafting supplies.
For example, the Protocol Workshop is home to the Windfall Key, which is needed to open the Windfall Shipment – which contains a very important device that I won’t spoil – found in the Protocol Field Station. The Field Station also has a Pneumatic Dispatch Tube, but entering this particular bunker can be troublesome if you aren’t friends with the Protocol, who heavily guard the surrounding areas.
