Amazon drops an outrageously good deal on 4K UHD Blu-rays, and pretty much giving them away right now
Amazon is putting on a huge 4K UHD movie sale right now, and there are some of the best films from last year, as well as several all-timers up for grabs. The deal is simple: it’s three films for $33.
Quick reminder that the PS5 or Xbox Series X you’re sporting features a handy 4K Blu-ray drive, which you should absolutely be taking advanage of right now. Considering streamers are just getting worse, and definitely can’t be trusted to have all your favorites, building up that 4K Blu-ray collection should absolutely be a priority for all us film buffs going forward.
Finding three films to buy shouldn’t be a problem either. There’s a whole bunch of recent releases, like Superman, Nobody 2, F1: The Movie, and Wicked, that should get you started comfortably, but that’s just the tip of my metaphorical iceberg. We’re also talking some proper classics like The Big Lebowski, Inception, The Shining, Inglourious Basterds, and more, all at just $11 each when popping three into your basket.
I’m not even done either! Additional picks also get the $11 treatment as well, and as far as I’m aware, there’s seemingly no limit as to how many films you can filler up with while the sale is on. So, anyone who is even remotely interested in puckering up their 4K Blu-ray collection should be getting in on this sale ASAP.
Superman was my top film from last year, and I absolutely love it. I can’t wait to check out Supergirl this year, and I’ve been happily reading through Absolute Superman over the holidays as well. Trust me when I say this film rocks; it’s like watching a Saturday morning cartoon, with all the thrills, wild pacing, and campy comic book fun dialed up to eleven. It’s brilliant, so please check it out if you haven’t already.
Kubrick movies on the list include A Clockwork Orange, 2001: A Space Odyssey, Spartacus, and the aforementioned Stephen King adaptation The Shining. Other King adaptations include Shawshank Redemption and The Green Mile.
Horror movies are well represented here, with stand-outs like Nope, Final Destination: Bloodlines, Companion, and the previously mentioned Weapons, which happens to be one of the best films from last year.
You can also browse this deal from the UK, but it works out at closer to £44 in total when shipped to the UK.
