The Alien Update in 99 Nights in the Forest brings with it a host of spooky new happenings to the already dark and dangerous woods.
But in the context of a bipedal, 15 foot tall Deer with dinner plate eyes and slashing claws instead of hooves stalking through the undergrowth, does the possibility of little green men wandering the Forest actually start to make things seem a little bit more normal?
As you explore the Forest, after an encounter with an unidentified flying object, you can get beamed up to the Alien Mothership for new combat encounters and amazing rewards.
Here’s everything you need to know about Aliens in 99 Nights in the Forest, including what you need to avoid and how you can make these paranormal activities work for you and your party!
How to go to the Alien Mothership in 99 Nights in the Forest
To get to the Alien Mothership in 99 Nights in the Forest, you need to complete the following steps:
- Survive until the alien nighttime event “something mysterious is flying above you” occurs
- Build a map and look for the flying saucer icons
- Travel to the crashed flying saucers on your map, defeat the Aliens and grab the loot
- At the saucer that glows yellow, go through the teleporter door to the mothership
When you first land in then Forest after the Alien update, you will see a hologram reading “backup on its way”. Continue to survive and at night (for me its triggered as early as Night 3) you will see another message: “something mysterious is flying above you”.
As you see the flying saucers warp through the sky, at the end of the night you will see a red outline and hear a crash sound. Next, look on your map and you will see highlighted flying saucer icons.
Journey to these icons and you’ll find a crashed Alien ship, guarded by aggressive little green men.
Defeat them and you’ll be able to claim new loot from the wrecks, including scrap-rich junk and new weapons like the Laser Sword and Ray Gun.
Multiple space ships will crash during the event and one of them will be glowing yellow. Inside here, you will find a teleporter which leads to the Alien Mothership.
How to get through the Alien Mothership in 99 Nights
Like Cultist Strongholds before it, the Alien Mothership in 99 Nights is a combat gauntlet with a reward at the end.
To survive you need to defeat the waves of Aliens, open the locked doors and claim the special rewards when you’re victorious.
Your success inside the Alien Mothership depends pretty much wholly on whether you’ve got your hands on the new weapon: the Ray Gun.
The rapid-fire, unlimited ammo Ray Gun is massively OP compared to all of the other weapons in the game and will help you take on the enclosed spaces of the Mothership.
To get the Ray Gun, you need to loot crashed flying saucers around your world map.
How to open doors in the Mothership in 99 Nights
One of the tricker aspects of the mothership can be how to open the locked doors which halt your progress.
On the wall of the ship, look at the sign posted near the teleporter. It says that door access is restricted to “Captains Only”.
To open the doors in the mothership, you need to grab the bodies of defeated “Alien Elite” enemies and place them next to the door scanner. This will activate the door and let you pass.
What do you get for completing the Alien Mothership?
If you manage to defeat all of the Aliens and reach the end of the Mothership, you get a host of great new rewards. Firstly, there are new scrap items like UFO Junk and Components, as well as food items like a Meat? Sandwich.
More exciting though are the new weapons including the Ray Gun, Laser Sword, and Laser Fence.
Like if you complete a Cultist Stronghold, you get to open a giant chest at the end of the Mothership, but be sure to decide on who gets the loot in your party first!
Given the difficulty of these combat encounters, now would be a good time to equip one of the best classes in 99 Nights, but the powerful new items will also make it easier to grind out the free diamonds to get them.
