Abyss Geodes and Artifacts Guide

As you dredge the deep and hunt down even the most elusive fish in the latest trending Roblox fishing game, Abyss, there’s more to look out for than swimming creatures.

In real life, Geodes are hollow-looking rocks which are full of beautiful crystals when cracked open. However, in Abyss, Geodes are hiding powerful Artifacts which give your character passive buffs when equipped.

Here’s everything you need to know about collecting Geodes in Abyss, as well as the Artifacts inside them.

If you need some extra materials to help you stay out of trouble while hunting down Geodes, be sure to check out our page of Abyss codes for some free oxygen tanks and other useful items.

How to find Geodes in Abyss

Geodes have a chance to appear whenever you try and catch a fish in Abyss.

They appear as a treasure chest marker on the progress bar during fishing and to reel them in, you need to hover the catch bar over the treasure chest until it’s marked with a green tick.

However, you must make sure that you don’t lose the fish you’re catching while you focus on the treasure chest. To successfully get the Geode, you need to catch both the treasure chest and the normal fish in the same catching mini-game.

It’s also important to remember that you need to catch the treasure chest before you reel in the fish. Otherwise the mini-game will end and you won’t be able to catch the Geode.

This can be tough, but if the fish and Geode markers don’t line up well, try getting the fish to almost full, then move to the treasure chest, then quickly go back to the fish before its meter runs out.

How to turn Geodes into Artifacts in Abyss

Once you’ve collected a Geode from anywhere in the ocean, you need to return to Virelia in the Forgotten Deep (where the Kraken brings you at the start of the game).

She asks for a small donation to crack open your Geodes for you, with the process taking between 1 and 3 minutes depending on the type of Geode you’re opening.

Once you’ve handed over the Geode and started the timer you can head off and go about your business. When the time’s up your new Artifact will be automatically added to your inventory.

Abyss Artifacts List

The Artifacts you find inside Geodes in Abyss can be equipped by your character and provide passive buffs which are always active.

However, some of the rarer and more powerful Artifacts have the chance to come with both positive and negative effects. For example, some Artifacts can buff the damage of your gun, but reduce the amount of Oxygen your Tube carries.
