Finding Starsand Island’s job mentors is a bit more complicated than you might initially think. The game pushes you toward your first mentor, but then finding the rest — or even knowing whether you can take on a second job — is up to you. It’s a good idea to start each job as soon as you can, though. Each one unlocks new methods for improving your home and earning money, and there’s no downside to starting them all at the same time.
Below, we show you where to find each of Starsand Island’s job mentor locations.
Starsand Island job mentor locations
Starsand Island lets you learn five jobs, though you can only choose one of three to track at the start.
- Crafter
- Farmer
- Rancher
- Fisher
- Explorer
However, once the mayor’s assistant leaves, you’re free to pursue whatever job you want. You just need to track down that job’s mentor to get started, which you can do at any time. In our experience, job mentors tend to stay in their usual places until you speak with them the first time – so, Zerine at the general store, for example, and Delphin at the pier. If you do get a bit turned around and aren’t sure where to find them, open the map and click the “Mentors” tab on the left. It’ll open the mentor menu, where you can click on each mentor and see their current location plus a little profile overview telling you about their role on the island.
Pastelle, Rancher mentor location
Pastelle spends most mornings hanging out at her farm, which is just to the north of your cozy little place, across the bridge.
Zerine, Crafter mentor location
Zerine runs the general store, and like a responsible business owner, she’s usually at the store. It’s on the southwestern edge of town, and you’ll pass it every time you follow the main road from your house into town. You’ll need to speak to Zerine at least once before you can check out the store’s inventory and claim the Cutter 1 blueprint for processing wood into planks.
Graminova, Farming mentor location
Graminova wanders around the town and hangs out in the seed shop, so your best bet of finding him is to just check the map. Unless it’s a rainy day. Then he’s always in the seed shop.
Delphin, Fishing mentor location
Delphin is the fishing mentor, and, as you might guess, he’s typically near the coast. In the very early morning, Delphin strolls along the beach, but after 10 a.m. or so, you can usually find him on the pier. At night, he makes his way to the cafe.
Zephyria, Exploration mentor
Zephyria is the leader of the Exploration Club, which is where the general area where he tends to spend most of his time. He’s either in the club or roaming the nearby woodlands training and gathering materials. The Exploration Club is northwest of the ranch where Pastelle lives and works.
