Animal Jam Classic Lucky Clover locations

Animal Jam Classic is an educational game created by National Geographic, so you know it has good pedigree. The game has been doing the rounds in various forms since 2010, and while major updates have slowed over the past few years – as a newer version of Animal Jam became available on iOS, Android, and more recently Steam – there’s still a respectable rotation of annual events in AJC, as well as the occasional small tweak.

Lucky Day is – as the name and overall theming might have already suggested to you – an annual in-game event in Animal Jam that broadly celebrates St Patrick’s Day. Taking place between February and March, the main objective of Lucky Day is to collect shamrocks (Lucky Clovers), a collectible type that is unique to this seasonal adventure and can be exchanged for exclusive rewards.

How to collect Lucky Clovers in Animal Jam Classic

The 2026 rerun of the Lucky Day event in Animal Jam Classic began on March 5th. It’s unclear at this point how long the event will last, since the exact dates change every year; but for the past few years the end date has been sometime in the first week of April, so you should have a while to participate!

Anyone can participate in the Lucky Day event, even brand-new players, as there are no prerequisite tutorials or other requirements to bar you from taking part. So even if this is your first time playing AJC, you can immediately head to the Adventure Base Camp in the Lost Temple of Zios and interact with the green portals there to begin the Lucky Clovers adventure, or else select it directly from the Party List at the top of the screen.

Once inside the Lucky Clovers adventure map, you have an unlimited amount of time to collect all the shamrocks you can find. For every 10 Lucky Clovers you pick up, you’ll receive a key which can be used to open one of the treasure chests in the centre of the map (and note that you’ll actually be unable to continue collecting more Lucky Clovers until you go and get your rewards).

Some Lucky Clovers are on elevated platforms that can only be reached by collaborating with another player. To unlock the path, you and another player must perform the dance interaction on the two highlighted pressure pads at the foot of the hill — so be sure to work together with your fellow players when you see them around these areas!

For a full run-down of all 50 Lucky Clovers in the Lucky Day Adventure map, we recommend following this excellent video walkthrough by AeroGalaxy on YouTube – it was released when the map was last updated in 2021, but since the locations have remained the same ever since, it’s still up-to-date information for the event’s 2026 return:

Repeat until you’ve collected all 50 Lucky Clovers on the map, and you’ll get the special key that unlocks the big treasure chest and grants the final reward.

The rewards you receive from the treasure chests have a huge amount of variety, but all are decorative items for your in-game home that follow the St Patrick’s Day theme. Unfortunately, the random drops of rare collars, rims, etc. that were considered one of the highlights of the adventure reward system have been discontinued as prizes in this game mode.

You can’t save your progress between runs, meaning that if you exit the Lucky Clover adventure map before finding all 50, you’ll have to start again from the very beginning – however, this does give you the opportunity to try for different rewards, and you get to keep any rewards you rolled before exiting an incomplete run regardless. Since the Lucky Clover locations are fixed and don’t change, you can effectively farm for rewards you want using the route shown in the walkthrough video linked above.
