Arcadia: Breath of the Land – Guide to Heroes, Mounts and Arsenal

Quick Guide to Heroes, Mounts and Arsenal

By Shizuna/Shizuka.

In this guide I will cover the Mount, Arsenal and two Hero features and how I recommend to unlock / upgrade them, in order to get the most out of each of them.

Hero Soul

In the Hero Soul, you will be able to unlock, deploy, tier up and star up your heroes, as well as tier up the “soul of purity” and activate/level up Hero abilities.

The picture above shows the main “menu” of Hero Soul. Here you can access the heroes menu, deployment of heroes, the ability menu and upgrade your Soul of Purity, which at certain tiers will unlock new bonus stats for your character.

Do note that the items used to tier up the Soul of Purity, is also used to tier up your heroes, so if it will take a long time to unlock new tier bonus stats, the items may be better spent on your heroes instead.

By tapping the “Wear” button in the top-left, you can access your heroes overview. Here you can tier up the heroes to unlock new bonus stats that will apply on you regardless if you deploy them or not, as well as increasing their stats and improve their star level.

As you advance you will eventually unlock the Hero Ability. Here you can use a series of book items obtained in events, to unlock additional stats for your character. One of the most regular events to acquire these items is the Citadel event, which is held every Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Ancient Heroes

In the “Ancient Heroes” you can spend Flame Runestones, 1 star red gear and old low-tier red gear on upgrading the tiers of ancient heroes. The amount of gear you have to spend depends on its tier and quality, as well as the Hero’s tier. When all the symbols are upgraded one tier, the hero will tier up and you will unlock a random stat bonus for your character.

As your gear advances in tier, you will be able to unlock more Ancient heroes.

As you advance the various symbols, you will also unlock a new Star. You can tap yes to continue to the Star chart when the message of a new one being available pops up, or you can tap the “Star” button in the lower left corner in the Hero overview to access the chart.

Mount

The Mount feature is an “easy to overlook” stat bonus-treasure trove. Like with Hero Soul, you can tier up your mount in the main menu, but you can ALSO tier up the various mounts that you acquire in the game, which, like heroes, gives passive and stat bonuses to your character.

As you can see, there are a series of passive stats available for the “normal” mount that unlocks as you reach higher tiers. However, to advance a tier you must star up the mount 10 times first, meaning it becomes quite resource-heavy over time.

So instead of spending all the tier up materials on the main mount, tap the “skin” button and have a look at your other mounts, as these don’t have stars and thus can easily be tiered up.

They also unlock additional passives/abilities for your character as you tier them up. If you acquire several of the same mount, you can use these to star up your mount. This will increase the stat bonus they give your character, making you even stronger.

Arsenal

In the arsenal you will be able to activate a series of “stages” based on the tier, star and quality of your gear. In the example above you can see how I am currently at the Hepta Stellar Kingdom stage and have 3 gear (helmet, belt and weapon) that is ranked T7 Pink 4 star. To unlock the Kingdom stage, I need 7x gear of T7 (or higher) Pink 4 star.

You may wonder why I say (or higher) before “Pink 4 star”, but it is simply because you can also unlock this by equipping higher tiered Pink 4 star equipment!

In other words, you DO NOT have to achieve a complete T7 pink 4 star set to unlock the “Hepta Stellar: Kingdom” stage, you can simply get pink 4 star equipment of a HIGHER tier to fill the missing gear slots. So in this example, instead of continuing grinding for T7 gear, I can simply jump on to grinding T8 gear and upgrade them to pink 4 star armour, wrist, boots and dagger, which will allow me to complete the Hepta Stellar Kingdom-stage and fill in four of the 7 gears for Octa Emperor Bishop, General and Kingdom stages. Then I can do the same with T9 gear, just that I focus on replacing the T7 pink 4 star gear, helmet, belt and weapon, with T9 pink 4 star gear.

This is a clever way of grinding your way up the Arsenal stages without spending a lot of time and resources unnecessarily, and you can continuously aim for higher tiered gear this way.
