In this guide I will be explaining the two new Market Weapons for this season, which are the AK12 and MCX!

Guide to New Market Weapons

By Bunachos

Introduction

As the 7th Season of Arena Breakout has been out, two new weapons have appeared on the market which are the AK12 and MCX. Previously, these weapons were only obtainable via faction currency from Andrew and Kayla during Season 5 but now has made a grand return being obtainable via koen now.

These new weapons can also be seen sold by contacts Vladlen and Thomas Edward.

The AK12 is sold by Vladlen for 3 fertilizers, 3 cameras and 2 powerbanks. Overall costing around 70,000+ koen.

Meanwhile the MCX is sold by Thomas Edward for 2 cements, 3 paracords and 2 broken LCD’s. Overall costing 35,000+ koen.

Now I recommend buying the guns from the market or the gunsmith if market has no stock since the contacts are selling them for more than 3x-7x the original price of the gun itself. Unless you’re a hoarder, you can barter with them for cheaper instead.

Weapon Explanation and Statistics (Standard Issue)

AK12

The Standard Issue for the AK12 has:

  • 69 Vertical Recoil Control
  • 45 Horizontal Recoil Control
  • 59 Ergonomics
  • 43 Accuracy
  • 79 Hip-fire Stability
  • 100 Effective Range

Uses 5.45x39mm caliber rounds.

Firing Modes:

  • Semi-Automatic
  • 3-Round Burst
  • Fully Automatic

With a rate of fire of around 730 rounds per minute, Muzzle Velocity of 880 and 0.5 Stamina Buff along with High Firing Power, this makes the AK12 very consistent up to Mid-range combat.

MCX

The Standard issue for the MCX has:

  • 77 Vertical Recoil Control
  • 69 Horizontal Recoil Control
  • 78 Ergonomics
  • 31 Accuracy
  • 71 Hip-fire Stability
  • 40 Effective Range

Uses 5.56×45 caliber rounds.

Firing modes:

  • Semi-Automatic
  • Fully Automatic

With a whopping firerate of 800 rounds per minute but a Muzzle Velocity of 820 and 1.1 Stamina buff along with Medium Firing Power. This weapon proves itself very deadly in Close Quarters Combat and only Close Quarters Combat due to it’s low accuracy and very low effective range being up to 40 meters before the damage and penetration flops beyond the distance.

Weapon Modifications

AK12

Standard Issue

This one has no modifications whatsoever. Quite literally it’s base form which isn’t great but not bad at most.

Medium Modifications

This build doesn’t really mod the weapon itself too much, as you only change the stock, handguard and add a grip. They all cost roughly 50k (+12k for suppressor and around 20k for mid-range sights).

Maximum Modifications

This build is the best of the best this gun could offer. Though you may change your scope to your preferences. Now, “why the PT3 Stock?” You ask. And that’s very simple! It gives way more recoil control than the other two AK12 stocks. You may also change the suppressor to your liking if you want to be a silent killer as well. This build costs roughly around +100k.

MCX

Standard Issue

This build isn’t nothing special as well. No mods whatsoever. It’s not really that great honestly but I guess it’s usable as a 5.56 version of the Mp5.

Medium Modifications

This one is pretty much alright, the gun itself has nothing much to mod due to it’s limitations so there’s only the scope, muzzle, grip and lazer. I left the scope slot empty because that one is purely subjective. Approximately 50k-60k.

Maximum Modifications

This is the best build this gun could offer. You may slap in the BV Laser too but I’m unsure about that. The good thing is it’s recoil is almost nonexistent and that’s a good thing in case you’re approaching from afar. Around +100k.

Now, would you really go for these builds?

I suggest for casual players to go with the medium build in my opinion as the minimum build is very underwhelming and the maximum build is pretty overkill. Unless you’re earning millions every hour, then an expensive build won’t hurt.

Advantages and Disadvantages

AK12

Advantages

Very consistent until medium to long range. Moderate recoil. Mid performance overall.

Disadvantages

Weak bullet type.

Recommended maps to use

Farm, Valley, Armory, or Northridge.

MCX

Advantages

Very controllable recoil. High Fire rate.

Disadvantages

Lack of Range. Medium Firing Power and has little to no modifications whatsoever. Only viable in Close Quarters Combat

Recommended maps to use

Farm, Armory and TV Station.

Conclusion

Would you use it? This one is up to you, the reader, to choose whether or not you should consistently use these guns. But in my opinion, everything about them are mid overall. The AK12 is just an improved AK-74N but not as good as the RPK whilst the MCX is basically an SMG but with tier 5 ammo because of it’s terrible range.
