The best CAMs in EA Sports FC 26 are the heart of your team, progressing the ball up the pitch, dictating your attacking play and finishing off counters with aplomb.
For the longest time in EA Sports football games, attacking midfielders were difficult to get right; not as fast as wingers, not as strong as defensive midfielders and not as good finishers as strikers.
But with the advent of PlayStyles, attacking midfielders can now look after the ball without the need for a dominant physical profile and use possession more effectively than ever before. As a result, the CAM position is now absolutely stacked with talent in FC 26.
Crucially though, that talent isn’t limited to just the richest teams. While there are many ready-made superstar players who look set to make their next big move in the very near future, there are also tons of great, more under-the-radar picks who have overpowered stats and PlayStyles but a much more accessible price tag.

It makes sense when you’ve got the most money to work with, but top teams are absolutely spoilt for choice in the CAM position in FC 26.
Athletic Club have built a truly special team full of home-grown stars, but one of the best is Sancet, who has an incredible physical and technical profile from the start of Career mode, but enough Potential growth to take that into the stratosphere. When most of his key stats are already in the mid-80s, it’s not a stretch to imagine he’ll basically be 90+ everywhere before long.
Similarly, Charles De Ketelaere is the kind of player who would’ve struggled to shine in FC before PlayStyles came along, but can now display his unique talents in-game. He’s best played as an attacking CAM thanks to his overpowered Low Driven Shot PlayStyle which will allow him to slot away even the most difficult chances.
Over in the Bundesliga, Paul Nebel has some key stats that can’t be ignored: 90 Stamina, 91 Agility and 91 Balance. Combined with a unique body-type in-game, this makes him an extremely silky player who can last every single 90 in your season. Again, he’s a fantastic attacking CAM with Low Driven Shot and good finishing, meaning he might even get more goals than your main striker.
It all looked over for perennial Career Mode-prospect Thiago Almada in Europe when he went back to Brazil after a stint in MLS. However, now plying his trade for Atleti in La Liga, he’s back to his explosive best in-game. He’s got great stats everywhere you want them for a CAM, but probably the most fun part of his game is 83 free kick accuracy. Set-piece takers are relatively rare and he’s a great, exciting player to add to your team on top of that extra bonus.
Finally for elite clubs, Estevao is getting a lot of hype this season already for Chelsea, and with good reason. Unbelievable movement and dribbling stats at just 18, with a Potential ceiling of 89 to focus on everything else, make him easily one of the best players in the world in just a couple of seasons.
For teams with a little less to spend, but still in need of some overpowered stars, definitely consider Oscar Gloukh. Explosive, with great dribbling and usable stamina, he’s got a load of fantastic PlayStyles, including the all-important Low Driven Shot that turns him into a goalscoring machine.
Alternatively, Rodrigo Mora at Porto has more work to do on the physical side, but with dribbling and passing at 78 at just 18, the technical side of his game leaves nothing to be desired.
Halving the price tag again, you can still get some nice all-rounders or players with really high key stats compared to their Overall rating. One example of the latter is Anderlecht’s Mario Stroeykens, who’s a solid mid-70s everywhere except for short passing at 80 and dribbling at 78. When his defensive awareness is hilariously low, he’s much better suited to CAM than CM, with a decent finishing stat too.
Alternatively, Alvyn Sanches at Young Boys is also a great option who’s very fast and agile, has incredible stamina for a young player, as well as 79 dribbling from the start – an amazing mix for just 73 Overall. He’s got good PlayStyles to stand out, including Anticipate to lead your press from the front, and looks fantastic for Road to Glory saves.
Gone are the days where you could just sign Renato Sanches and Denis Zakaria for your midfield and call it day with 80+ stats across the board, but you can try to make up for that with Assan Ouedraogo from RB Leipzig. Quick and agile with 78 dribbling, but standing 6ft 3” with 77 strength, Ouedraogo has not just a big presence, but +16 Potential growth to develop into basically whatever kind of midfielder you like, with a dominant physical profile on top.
Finally, if you’re strapped for cash but still want someone very usable in the CAM position, check out Justin Lerma in Ecuador. Kendry Paez was one of the best pick-ups in FC 25 before he was snapped up by Chelsea and shipped off to one of their feeder clubs in the summer, but you can repeat the trick with Lerma. With good speed and agility, 68 stamina is actually very good for a 17 year old, with youngsters tending to lack in that department. His passing and dribbling are not great, but you’ve got +21 points of Potential to sort that out!
