How to Make Game Run on Weak Cards
Using Lossless Scaling is the only way I’ve found to make Borderlands 4 somewhat playable. The program gives me around 130 fake frames. It feels smooth, but there is a little bit of input delay. This is still better than the 20 to 40 frames I was getting before.
You can buy the program and use these settings.
How to Increase Field of View (FOV)
To change your field of view in Borderlands 4, you need to find the game’s settings file. The file is named GameUserSettings.ini and is located in the following folder:
Documents\my games\Borderlands 4\Saved\Config\Windows
Open the file and look for the line Base FOV=110.000000. Change the number to your desired field of view. For example, you can set it to 125.000000.
After you save the file, you can start the game. The file does not need to be set to “read-only.”

Quick Optimized Very High Settings
Here are some basic optimized settings for a high-end AMD PC that give you good quality and high FPS. This guide was tested on a high-end AMD computer.
Upscaling Method: FSR (Try TSR, OR DLSS if Nvidia Card)

Volumetric Fog: Medium
Volumetric Cloud: Medium
Volumetric Cloud Shadows: Disabled

Post Process Quality: Medium (Gun is blurrier on High for some reason, looks better on Medium)
Motion Blur: 0In Steam>Borderlands 4> Properties> Launch Options add the following:

Go to the game properties > General > Launch Option:

To fix this, get the Intel XTU app (official website). Once it’s installed, open it and change the settings to match what’s in the picture.
