Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has been out for a handful of days, and players have already started noticing a trend of badly spawn point handling in many of the game’s multiplayer maps. Numerous players have expressed their displeasure with the games spawn logic on Reddit, with some video clips showing extreme examples of its issues.
In one particularly telling clip, a player is seen gunning down close to 10 enemies in just a few seconds, preemptively aiming at a spawn point where a near endless stream of foes appear at. Some commenters have been quick to point out the the map in question is designed for much smaller teams, similar to Shipment from the Modern Warfare series, but that it still is a good example of a larger problem with many of the game’s maps.
Another issue that is being conflated with the poor spawn point logic is the ability to die in a match before selecting your loadout. A couple of players commenting on Reddit have expressed confusion over starting a match with one or two deaths, despite not having the chance to fully spawn yet. This is an issue the developers have been made aware of, stating that the team is “investigating an issue where players automatically spawn in-game rather than spectating when joining in-progress,” according to a post on X/ Twitter.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 has enjoyed a strong player numbers since launching on Friday, with over 300,000 players at its peak over the weekend. It is, however, also plagued with performance and stability problems, with the current rating on Steam sitting at “Mixed” due to several player expressing displeasure over the issues.
