Catch a Monster Best Mounts and Locations

Mounts are the fastest way to get around in Catch a Monster, which can be very important when you’re racing other players towards a boss spawn!

Here’s what you need to know about Mounts in Catch a Monster, as well as where you can get all of them!

Catch a Monster Mount locations

While there are different types of Mounts to choose from, flying Mounts are easily the best. Not only are swimming Mounts slow out of the water, but once you’ve unlocked all of the islands relatively early on in the game, you will barely use them over portals.

Flying Mounts on the other hand are always useful, because they let you traverse tough terrain easily and make your way up to boss spawns without any hassle.

Here’s where to get all of the different types of Mounts we’ve seen so far in Catch a Monster:

Mount Name Mount Type Speed Location
Aquron Swim 60 Starter Island/Volcano
Aquilune Flying 35 Endless Spire Shop
DustWing Flying 45 Rare Spawn next to Stonebara and Knockroo on Duneveil Isle
Dragon Cannelloni Flying 65 Store

Where to get the best Mounts in Catch a Monster

To get your brainrot Dragon Cannelloni mount, you need to make your way to the Skyheart Isle hub area. Then the node where you buy the Dragon is next to the Endless Spire Shop.

However, to the best mount available for free by playing the game, go through the portal (or swim or fly) to Duneveil Isle.

It’s a very rare spawn, but sometimes a DustWing (which looks like a Flygon from Pokemon) will spawn next to the Stonebaras near the portal at the front of the area.

DustWing has 188 million health, so he’s about as difficult as the recent Gildron boss. There are better monsters to use in your party, but tracking down a DustWing is well worth the effort. The speed boost over the easier to get Aquilune is very noticeable and it’s better to save your Spire currency for Twilight Giant Tree Eggs.

Sometimes, DustWing can spawn next to the Knockroos as well. This means you can snag one while farming for Refined Grass Gems.
