Best Way to Get Devil Calls Before The Deadline

The Body
To get this, you likely know you need the four bones and the skull from the shop. My method is to start a regular run, buy the cheapest Charms, put them in storage, and then reset the game.
Memory Cards
The fastest Memory Card is HEARTBREAK, since it guarantees a 666 will show up in the last round of the Deadline. This method was tough for me, but maybe it will work for you.
I used FIXATION because it was the easiest run to set up. You can use one-charge Charms a lot and also Charms that activate at certain points in the round. These always work as long as you don’t use Charms that add spins.
Final Spin
I can always make sure the Devil calls at the start of the next Deadline if I use the Possessed Phone Call on the final spin of a round and then end the Deadline. But other guides say the 666 just needs to happen during the final round before you end the Deadline.
The best way, and the one I used, was playing the FIXATION Memory Card and building my run around getting money from the Greedy Dealer. Always deposit just enough coins and stop before you end the round. If I have more than one round left, I keep spinning for more money. On the final round, I would use the Possessed Phone to make the final spin a 666. Then the next round was always a Devil call.
True Ending / Ascension
Once you know how to get the Devil calls, the True Ending is simple. Don’t take any of the Devil’s deals. You can answer the phone and look, but just don’t accept any deals.
Every time you refuse a deal, you get a slash mark on the 666 Floppy Disk. After you get all three slashes, you just need to get one more Devil deal and pick up the phone. The phone will be clean and white, and the key will also turn white. (I think the key turns white on the final call as long as you leave it in the glass cabinet, but I need to check.) The Floppy Disk will now show 999.
Now you can take the key and end the run. If you keep playing, 666 will be replaced with 999, and you won’t lose money. You can now get Angel calls for the rest of the run when 999 appears and you end the Deadline, following the same rules as Devil calls.
