CoD: Black Ops 6 And Warzone Season 3 Is Seemingly Delayed, Will Be A “Big Moment”

Activision has confirmed Call of Duty Season 3 arrives to Black Ops 6 and Warzone in April, which appears to be a delay of the upcoming content. Additionally, the publisher vaguely teases that the season is a “big moment” for Warzone and Black Ops 6.

Currently, Call of Duty Season 2’s in-game battle pass timer says that the season ends in 16 days, which usually indicates the start of a brand-new season immediately afterward. That would have meant Season 3 starts on March 20, but now Activision has announced April 3 as the official start date for the new season.

“We’re taking the time to deliver a great experience starting on April 3,” the publisher says in the announcement made on X/Twitter.

This likely means that Season 2 will get an updated battle pass timer, and the season will be extended. Delays are unfortunate, but this means players should hopefully get more time than they originally expected to finish earning all the rewards in the Season 2 battle pass.

While Activision doesn’t give any details on why Season 3 is being described as a big moment for Black Ops 6 and Warzone, speculation is high that this will be an OG-style season of content and the return of Verdansk.

Activision says more Season 3 details will be revealed following Warzone’s 5th year anniversary on March 10. For all the current speculation, make sure to check out all our highlighted rumors and leaks for Season 3 of Black Ops 6 and Warzone.
