The eagle-eyed among you might have noticed a new name recently carved into the wall of the RPS treehouse. Callum Williams quietly snuck in earlier this month as a Guides Writer, and his energy and enthusiasm is already proving infectious, despite the best efforts of us grizzled and miserable veterans. Please welcome him in the comments below!
Callum insists he has been writing about games for near a decade, though I’m still doubtful he’s lived long enough for that to be true. Most recently he spent three or so years freelancing for IGN, and impressing a lot of people while he was at it. Here, as there, his main focus is writing all sorts of guides on the hottest Roblox games, but you’ll likely also see his name crop up during big releases throughout the year too.
While us guidesfolk don’t tend to frequent the front page of RPS, Callum will of course be joining us every weekend to baldly lie about what he’ll be playing; and he’ll be part of our future listicles, our yearly advent calendar, and more. I imagine he’ll soon start to ask me for time away from guidestown to write the odd feature or review, as well. Probably on an obscure indie horror game.
Jeremy and I have been alone in guides for slightly more than year now, so it’s really swell to see us back to full strength. Please give our Mr Williams a warm welcome, and ask him lots of challenging questions about his gaming habits!
