Dragon Age: The Veilguard Leaked Achievements Contain Spoilers

After a nearly 10-year hiatus between games, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is finally going to arrive at the end of the month. Unfortunately for gamers who want to avoid spoilers, The Veilguard’s achievements list has leaked a few weeks early. Anyone who wants to preserve all possible surprises should steer clear of them entirely.

The Veilguard’s achievements have shown up on a Reddit thread and in other places online. While we won’t be sharing any spoilers in this post, the story-progression achievements appear to be biggest offenders when it comes to ruining any shocks ahead. There are also the prerequisite collectible achievements as well as some that are specific to members of the player’s party.

Now Playing: Dragon Age: The Veilguard Won’t Leave New Players Behind

It’s not unlike a film’s soundtrack getting released early with spoilers in the track titles, as exemplified by the 1999 release of John Williams’ score for Star Wars: Episode I – The Phantom Menace. The Veilguard is a more personal experience for players, but some of the turning points in the story are going to happen for everyone. It’s probably going to be more fun if players aren’t looking too far ahead for any twists that await.

There are certain things that BioWare does want players to know ahead of time, like launch times for The Veilguard, preloading info, and the fact that spiders have been excluded from this game. But there will be plenty of other monsters and creatures to fight as players return to Thedas.

Dragon Age: The Veilguard will hit PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S on October 31.
