HoYoverse announced the Genshin Impact 6.0 banners during a recent livestream, and they’re a couple of shiny new firsts. One is a new Dendro character who supercharges bloom reactions by turning them into Lunar-Bloom, and the other is another Electro character like Ineffa, one who lets you use Lunar-Charged reactions to buff Genshin’s weakest combo. There’s also a new 4-star character who seems designed to fit perfectly with the Lunar-Bloom character, and you get her for free.
Below, we break down each phase of the Genshin Impact 6.0 banners, along with what to expect from each character who shows up.
Genshin Impact 6.0 banners phase one – Lauma and Nahida
The version’s first round of banners goes live on Sep. 10, 2025, or late on Sep. 9, depending on your time zone, and it features two 5-star Dendro characters.
- Nahida (5-star, Dendro, catalyst)
- Lauma (5-star, Dendro, catalyst)
Nahida, the Dendro Archon of Sumeru, is one of the best ways to apply Dendro and amplify elemental reaction power thanks to her skill. It might not be Lunar-Bloom, but it’s still incredibly powerful. Lauma, the new character, turns bloom reactions – where Dendro and Hydro meet – into Lunar-Bloom, which increases the reaction’s damage by an amount that scales with Lauma’s elemental mastery. She’ll want at least one Hydro character on her team and possibly another Dendro to boost elemental mastery, though her ultimate also benefits from other bloom-related reactions, such as burgeon and hyperbloom.
It’s not yet clear which 4-star characters will run alongside these two.
Genshin Impact 6.0 banners phase two – Flins and Yelan
Three weeks later, on Oct. 1, 2025, the second round of Genshin 6.0 banners takes over. This set features two new Nod-Krai characters and one returning Liyue favorite.
- Flins (5-star, Electro, polearm)
- Yelan (5-star, Hydro, bow)
- Aino (4-star, Hydro, claymore)
Flins is a bit like “what if Cyno was from Nod-Krai.” His skill buffs his normal attacks and makes them deal Electro damage, and his ultimate deals several instances of heavy Electro damage, with more of it if Lunar-Charged thunderclouds are present. Like Ineffa, Flins will turn any Electro-Charged reaction into Lunar-Charged as soon as it happens, so he’ll need at least one off-field Hydro support character on his team, such as Yelan, Xingqiu, or Aino.
Aino is designed to apply Hydro in a broad area, and her burst creates a cannon that splashes out water bubbles at intervals, even while she’s off-field. It has a low energy cost and a cooldown that’s just one second longer than the ability’s duration, so with good rotations, you should be able to use it frequently. That’ll make her an excellent partner for pretty much any team that needs Hydro, but especially for Lauma and Flims.
HoYoverse is making Aino free for anyone who makes it through Genshin 6.0’s Archon quests, which you can start once you reach Adventure Rank 28 and clear the Mondstadt prologue chapter.
Yelan is a premium Hydro support who deals heavy damage with her basic attack, groups enemies with her skill, and creates a water die with her burst. This die lingers after she exits the field and fires Hydro arrows when the active character attacks.
Genshin Impact 6.0 Chronicled Wish banner
The first foray into Nod-Krai also comes with another Chroncled Wish banner, a Sumeru-themed one this time. You’ll have a chance to throw Primogems at:
And their respective signature weapons. The Chronicled Wish banner seems to run throughout version 6.0.
