Honkai Star Rail Tribbie build and teams

Your Honkai Star Rail Tribbie build is rather unusual for a Harmony character, thanks to this Chrysos Heir’s unique kit. Tribbie’s abilities are split between letting allies deal more damage and dishing out some of her own with attacks that scale on HP. She’s designed to make Erudition characters easier to use in modes with just one or two targets, but Tribbie’s flexible and useful enough to work well with any team composition.

Our Honkai Star Rail Tribbie build breaks down her best Light Cone and Relic options, and we give some Tribbie team recommendations as well.

Honkai Star Rail Tribbie build

  • Light Cones: If Time Were a Flower, Dance Dance Dance
  • Relics: Poet of Mourning Collapse or a mixed set
  • Ornaments: Bone Collection, Fleet of the Ageless, Sprightly Vonwacq
  • Teams: The Herta, Aglaea, basically any team

Honkai Star Rail Tribbie Light cone

Tribbie’s skill grants allies a Res Pen boost that’s independent of her stats and relies on nothing else, so you’re basically building her to maximize the potential from her ultimate and her talent’s follow-up attack. That’s why most builds focus on her crit rate and crit damage, along with her HP, since her damage dealing skills scale on the latter.

Tribbie is like Robin in the sense that her unusual Harmony kit means she has few Light Cone options that do exactly what she needs. If Time Were a Flower is Tribbie’s signature Light Cone and, of course, does do exactly what she needs. It increases the equipping character’s critical hit damage by 36 percent and lets them regenerate 12 energy when they use a follow-up attack, something Tribbie will do regularly. Launching a follow-up also gives the user a stack of Presage, which lasts for two turns and increases all allies’ crit damage by 48 percent. When the battle starts, the user recovers 21 energy and instantly gets Presage.

That’s pretty much it as far as Light Cones with a strong match for her kit, though Dance, Dance, Dance is an excellent 4-star option. It advance forwards all allies’ next action by 16 percent when the user casts their ultimate.

Carve the Moon, Weave the Clouds works fairly well, even if its effects are random. When the user’s turn begins, they either increase all allies’ attack by 10 percent, energy regen by six percent, or crit damage by 12 percent. Future Past is decent, if slightly limited and dependant on knowing which ally is going to act next. When the equipping character uses their skill, the next ally who acts deals 16 percent more damage for a turn. Tribbie only needs to use her skill once every three turns, though.

On the 3-star side, your best choice is Meshing Cogs, which restores four/eight energy to the user when they attack or take damage. Tribbie needs a lot of energy for her ultimate, which you want to cast as often as possible so her talent’s follow-up attack happens.

Honkai Star Rail Tribbie Relics

Poet of Mourning Collapse is an excellent choice despite requiring a slow Tribbie.

  • Two-piece effect: Increases quantum damage by 10 percent
  • Four-piece effect: When the equipping character’s speed is lower than 110/95, their crit rate increases by 20/32 percent

Tribbie’s minor traces include several crit damage buffs, but only 12 percent total for her crit rate. Keeping her speed low and using this set makes it easy to bump that number up without having to rely on lucky substat rolls.

You could also mix two pieces of Longevous Disciple (additional 12 percent HP) and two of Scholar Lost in Erudition (additional eight percent crit rate) if you don’t have a good set of Poet or can’t access it yet.

Honkai Star Rail Tribbie Ornaments

The new Bone Collection’s Demesne set works well for Tribbie, as it raises the equipping character’s HP by 12 percent and, when their HP is over 5,000, gives them a 28 percent crit damage buff. Fleet of the Ageless is another strong option and one that benefits Tribbie’s allies as well. It raises the equipping character’s HP by 12 percent and buffs the party’s attack by eight percent when the equipping character’s speed is over 120 – so, not a set to use with Poet Relics.

An easier set to use is Lushaka, Sunken Seas, which raises the user’s energy regeneration by five percent and gives the character in the party’s first slot a 12 percent attack increase.

Honkai Star Rail Tribbie stats

Tribbie needs HP, crit rate, energy, and crit damage, mostly in that order given how her minor trace buffs work. You want Tribbie’s HP at 4,000 at a minimum, or 5,000 if you’re using the Bone Collection set. She should have at least a Light Cone that gives her energy regeneration, an ornament set that does, or an energy rope.

In general, you want:

  • Head: HP
  • Hands: Attack
  • Body: Crit rate or crit damage, ideally crit rate unless you’re struggling with crit damage
  • Feet: HP if you’re running the Poet set or speed if you aren’t
  • Sphere: HP or quantum damage, but HP is probably more important unless you’ve managed to hit 4,000 or 5,000 without the sphere
  • Rope: Energy regeneration

Honkai Star Rail Tribbie teams

Tribbie’s ultimate triggers more hits from her when allies hit more than one enemy with their attacks. Erudition characters or those with blast-area attacks are her best teammates if you want extra quantum damage, which is basically anyone who isn’t a Hunt character – Clara, Yunli, Argenti, The Herta, even Acheron and Black Swan. And if you need a support in a Hunt party, your main DPS benefits from Tribbie’s high Res Pen buff anyway. Basically, you just can’t go wrong with Tribbie.

Some possible teams are:

  • The Herta
  • Jade, Small Herta, or Serval
  • Tribbie
  • Sustain (bonus if it’s Aventurine or Lingsha thanks to their AOE attacks)

Someone like Jing Yuan is also a strong pick, with his skill, ultimate, and follow-up that hit multiple enemies.

Tribbie has an easy free team as well.

  • Tribbie
  • Serval
  • Small Herta
  • Natasha

You could swap Small Herta for Remembrance Trailblazer as well.

What tier is Tribbie in HSR?

Tribbie’s ease of use, excellent buffs, and potent damage potential for a support character make her a definite S-rank in our HSR tier list. Finding a good Light Cone is challenging without her signature, and she needs fairly heavy stat investment to reach her full potential. However, the result is worth the hassle.
