How to get Jane Doe and complete her Forsaken quest

Forsaken fans have a new Survivor they can unlock – Jane Doe, who was added with the ‘One Fateful Day’ update.

This version 4.0.0 update was released during March 2026, with the headline attraction being the inclusion of the 12th survivor for the Dead By Daylight-style game. According to her character’s lore, Jane Doe is a Roblox tester who gets sucked into the world of Forsaken and trapped in it. She’s also the wife of the John Doe killer.

Unlike other Forsaken Survivors, you don’t need to use the game’s currency to purchase her. You can unlock this character entirely for free by completing her accompanying quest. To help you out, we’ve put together this guide which runs through how to get Jane Doe and complete her Forsaken quest.

How to get Jane Doe in Forsaken

To get Jane Doe in Forsaken, you need to complete her accompanying quest, which you can start by heading into the basement of the building you spawn in. There are four parts to Jane Doe’s quest in Roblox, and each stage of the quest will have you searching for a collectible in the game’s maps.

Here’s a step-by-step guide to completing the Jane Doe quest in Forsaken:

1. Launch Forsaken in Roblox.
2. Exit the building you spawn in and turn left. Go round the corner to enter the basement by the sign that says ‘Jane’s Stuff (Stay Out).




3. Speak to Jane Doe and she’ll explain some of her character’s lore. Agree to help her and she’ll give you a quest called ‘Aim For The Top’.
4. You then need to begin a round and explore the map you drop into. You have to find a folder in the map, which appears like a floating red, white and black rectangle. You may need to play multiple rounds before you get all three required folders, and you can only pick up these folders as a Survivor.




5. After collecting the folders speak to Jane again and she’ll give you another quest called ‘Once Was No Longer Is’.
6. You then need to find three folders again by playing rounds and exploring the game’s maps. Don’t worry if you don’t survive a round, if you picked up a folder it’ll still count.




7. Once you’ve collected all three folders, speak to Jane again in the basement where she’ll give you a third quest called ‘Fundamental Principle of Inertia’.
8. Collect the folders again and then speak to Jane once you’ve got them all. She’ll give you a fourth and final quest.
9. This time around you need to then find a ring on the map and make sure your character survives the round.
10. Speak to Jane Doe again in the basement to unlock her Survivor character.

How to use Jane Doe in Forsaken

Once you’ve unlocked Jane Doe in Forsaken, simply press the backpack button on the left of your screen to access your inventory, and then choose Survivors to equip Jane Doe.

In terms of how to use Jane Doe in a round, she’s a good support character that can use her hatchet to stun the killer. She also got a very useful passive ability which helps the player track the killer’s movements.
