How to get the Katana Rod in Fisch

The Katana Rod in Fisch is an expensive, rare rod that might not be the greatest for making money, but it certainly cuts down on the time it takes to catch your prey. You’ll need to save up for the Katana Rod, though, and play at a certain time. It’s pricey and only shows up during a specific admin event.

Below, we explain how to get the Katana Rod in Fisch, whether it’s worth the cost, and the best enchantments for the Katana Rod.

How to get the Katana Rod in Fisch

The Katana Rod is only available when the Black Market shows up, which, for now, only happens once per week on Saturday. Our Black Market guide has more specifics, but the gist of it is that this is the only opportunity you’ll have to purchase the Katana Rod.

It costs 1,000,000, so make sure to spend some time getting the necessary cash before the Black Market comes to town.

What does the Katana Rod do?

The Katana Rod has high luck and decent speed, though the thing that makes it stand out compared to other rods in Fisch is its special passive feature. While catching a fish, you have a low chance of stabbing it with the rod, which adds a small amount of extra progress to the catch meter. It’s not a spectacularly useful effect, even more so given how expensive the rod is, but if you’re wanting to use something new and different, you can, at least, make catching fish a little faster.

The Katana Rod has no mutation passives, which means it’s less useful for grinding money compared to rods that do have mutation passives.

Best enchantments for the Katana Rod

You’ve got plenty of choices for enchantments with this one, depending on what you want to do with it. Chaotic is a popular, basic choice, for example. Despite the mutation part of that enchantment having no effect on the Katana Rod, the extra stab chance helps shorten hte time it takes to catch a fish. Blessed Song is another, given how quickly it fills the progress meter, though you could also use Anomalous to get some extra money, Piercing for more progress, or Overclocked to increase progress speed.
