How to get the Wind Elemental rod from the Wind Master in Fisch

Finding the Wind Master in Fisch is just part of the lengthy process that ends with you getting the Wind Elemental rod. The Wind Master lives in an out-of-the-way location in Northern Expedition, and he won’t part with the Wind Elemental until you bring him three very specific, rare catches.

Below, we explain where to find the Wind Master in Fisch and how to get the Wind Elemental rod from him.

Where is the Wind Master in Fisch?

The Wind Master is in the Northern Expedition region, specifically at coordinates X: 19945; Y: 1212; Z: 5275. He’s on top of a large rock behind the crystal puzzle. Climb the ladders, and chat up the Wind Master once you reach the top.

Make sure to bring along something to mitigate cold damage, such as the winter cloak.

The Wind Master has three quests for you, and they’ll all take a fair bit of time to complete. We recommend having the Shiny Totem equipped to increase your chance of acquiring a Shiny item, as all three quests require Shiny catches. The Blessed enchantment also raises your chance of getting Shiny catches.

  • The first quest requires you to bring him a Shiny Giant Bait Crate that weighs over 12.8 kg. While you can potentially find bait crates by fishing anywhere in the ocean, one of the better places to fish for them is Moosewood Docks. The Destiny Rod has a high luck stat and is one of the better choices when you’re trying to catch Shiny fish (and bait crates).
  • The Wind Master’s second quest has you get him a Shiny King’s Blessing Pufferfish. Poseidon’s Rod increases your chance of obtaining the King’s Blessing mutation, and you can find Pufferfish at X: -1435; Y: 125; Z: 460.
  • The final quest is to get a Shiny Blessed Whale Shark. The Seraphic Rod is your best chance of getting a fish with the Blessed mutation, though you’ll need to wait for a Whale Shark hunt to start before you’ll find the fish in question.

Is the Wind Elemental rod worth it?

The quests are tedious, but the Wind Elemental rod is worth the trouble. It has:

  • One of the highest luck stats
  • A good chance at applying the Breezed mutation (formerly the Heavenly mutation)
  • High lure speed

That said, it does suffer from low resilience.
