How to rescue all 4 Missing Kids in 99 Nights in the Forest

Alongside learning the truth behind the mysterious Deer and the cult that worships it, your mission in 99 Nights in the Forest is to rescue the 4 missing children whose disappearance led to the park’s closure to the public.

While the police couldn’t find any clues as to the kids’ whereabouts, your band of up to 5 explorers is up to the task of saving them – if only you can find them first.

Here’s everything you need to know about finding the missing children in 99 Nights in the Forest and bringing them home safely.

Where to find the missing kids in 99 Nights

The missing kids are found at random locations throughout your world map, but can be predictably found at the same campfire levels.

When you spawn next to your campfire at the start of 99 Nights, you will see a noticeboard close by with missing posters of the children, with 4 kids to track down in total. They are:

  • Dino Kid
  • Kraken Kid
  • Squid Kid
  • Koala Kid

Interact with the board and you’ll see a red arrow at the top of your screen indicating the direction of the kid’s last known location. If you’ve built a compass, the kid’s direction will also be added to your compass.

To find Dino Kid, once you reach campfire level 3, search the area for what looks like a raised hill with a metal gate on your map.

Follow the arrow and you’ll find the raised hill surrounded by wolves wearing red collars.

Using either a scavenged spear or revolver found from chests and buildings near your campfire, or by trading with the Pelt Trader, defeat the wolves and you’ll receive a red key.

Plop the red key into your bag, then drop it next to the big red lock on the cage built into the hill.

Down the stairs and inside a secret room you’ll find Dino Kid, along with a treasure chest as a reward. Put the kid in your sack, then set them loose back at the campfire to increase your days passed counter multiplier by 1.

The other kids work in the same way, just with different collars and different animals.

When you reach campfire level 4 you’ll be able to rescue Kraken Kid. Who will be at the same icon in a different location on your map. However, they will be guarded by fearsome Alpha Wolves wearing blue collars. Defeat them and you’ll get the Blue Key to unlock Kraken Kid’s cage.

To rescue the other two children, you need to raise your fire to Level 5 and unlock the whole map. The last two kids will need Yellow and Black Keys (corresponding to the color of their outfits) and be guarded by mighty bears and guard bears, so you’ll probably need a top-tier weapon like the Morning Star or Tactical Shotgun to take them on.

Like their friends, Squid Kid and Koala Kid increase your days passed multiplier, helping you to survive the whole 99 nights more quickly.

Another way to survive the forest more easily is to equip one of the best classes in 99 Nights in the Forest, but to do that you’ll need to unlock them first. Luckily there are some ways to earn free Diamonds in-game, meaning you don’t have to part with any of your precious Robux to get a power boost.
