A cornerstone of Wuxia is flying through the air with the grace of the wind and weightlessness of a feather, and Where Winds Meet lets you do just that with Lightness Skills.
However, even if you manage to unlock one of the Skills, you get quite a cryptic message that more requirements need to be satisfied before you can actually fly.
Here’s everything you need to do about both unlocking Lightness Skills and gaining access to the ability to fly in Where Winds Meet.
How to unlock Lightness Skills in Where Winds Meet
The easiest way to obtain a Lightness Skill is to complete the Welcome missions by logging into the game for 4 days. This grants you access to the Thousand-Mile Flight ability.
However, to actually fly, you need to satisfy one more – admittedly quite difficult step: reach Exploration Level 4 in the area you want to fly in.
Flight in Where Winds Meet is governed by map region as much as it is Lightness Skills. To use the in-game Description, major factions restrict the use of Lightness Skills and so you need to gain a “Faction Keepsake” for each region to
Get to Area Exploration Progress Level 4 and get the Afterglow Pendant in Qinghe to fly there. You have to repeat this in each section of the map to gain the power of flight in each.
How to use Lightness Skills
Once you’ve both unlocked a Lightness Skill and been granted the ability to fly, actually making use of your technique is very easy.
Out in the open world, simply hold the jump button to whisk your character into the air, covering large distances not just quickly, but in true Wuxia style.
