If you thought the days of stacking HP were over, the best HSR Evernight build paths are here to say otherwise. While Evernight might not have the exorbitant needs of someone like Castorice or Mydei, she gets pretty close. Like those two, she also needs plenty of crit damage, but not entirely for herself. Evernight has a lot to offer her teammates as well.
Below, we lay out the best HSR Evernight build, including Evernight’s Light Cones, Relics, stat needs, and teams.
HSR Evernight build
Best Evernight Light Cones
Evernight’s stat needs are a little unusual thanks to how her passive traces work. She gets 35 percent crit rate outright from her first major passive trace, and her talent gives her and her memosprite a hefty crit damage buff when either of them loses HP, which will happen frequently even in teams without Castorice. Her Light Cone options are a bit limited as a result, since you don’t want to accidentally give her more than 100 percent crit rate in battle after her trace activates. That, plus she can function similarly to the Remembrance Trailblazer and buff crit damage for other characters’ memosprites.
In short, HP and crit damage are going to be your most important stats to aim for when considering Evernight’s Light Cones. Her signature, To Evernight’s Stars, helps with HP and memosprite buffs. It increases the wearer’s HP by 30 percent and grants them the Noctis ability when their memosprite acts. Noctis lets ally memosprites ignore 20 percent of a target’s defense when dealing damage, and they deal 30 percent more damage. Evernight’s ultimate already increases how much damage enemies take, so that’s quite a lot of extra damage.
A second option that works if you’re using Evernight as your primary damage dealer is Castorice’s Make Farewells more Beautiful (though if you have Castorice, just keep this on her. Evernight can use a 4-star option). This Light Cone increases the wearer’s HP by 30 percent, and when they or their memosprite lose or restore HP, they gain the Death Flower effect. Death Flower lets both characters ignore 30 percent of a target’s defense.
Evernight’s best 4-star Light Cones come from the paid battle pass. The ideal one for crit damage is The Flower Remembers, though it only buffs crit damage – the wearer’s by 24 percent and the same for their memosprite. It’s not fancy, but if you need to get those numbers higher, it’s certainly useful. Sweat Now, Cry Less is another battle pass choice, and it raises crit rate by 12 percent while also buffing memosprite damage by 24 percent.
Best Evernight Relics
Evernight’s unusual passive buffs mean there’s no set that fits perfectly with her all of kit needs as of HSR 3.6. However, World-Remaking Deliverer works very well, even if it skimps on crit damage.
- Two-piece effect: Increases crit rate by eight percent
- Four-piece effect: If the wearer’s memosprite is on the field after the wearer uses a basic attack or skill, the wearer and their sprite gain a 24 percent HP buff. All allies deal 15 percent more damage until the wearer uses their basic attack or skill again
If you aren’t keen on that set, aim for crit rate and crit damage in your mixed sets. Scholar Lost in Erudition also gives an eight percent crit rate buff, and you can add two pieces of Pioneer Diver or Wavestrider Captain for a 12 percent crit damage buff.
Best Evernight Ornaments
HoYoverse puts Arcadia of Woven Dreams on Evernight in the test run, but that option only works if you have an entire party of Remembrance characters. Otherwise, you’re missing the set’s full bonus, which defeats the point of using it.
An easier-to-use set is Bone Collector’s Serene Demesne, which increases HP by 12 percent and boosts crit damage by 28 percent when HP is over 5,000.
If you do go with Arcadia, here’s what it does.
- When there are more or less than four ally targets in battle, each additional/missing ally target increases the wearer and their memosprite’s DMG by nine/12 percent, up to a maximum of 4/3 stacks
Evernight stat needs
Evernight’s most important stats are HP, crit rate, and crit damage, though since her kit gives her plenty of crit rate, HP and crit damage should be your main focus. If you’re just here for the crit damage buffs, then you can pay less attention to HP, though any team that relies on Evernight to deal damage needs one with higher-than-usual HP.
In general, you want to aim for:
- 50 percent crit rate outside of battle
- 200 percent crit damage
- 6,000 HP or higher (ideally higher, pushing 7,000 or 8,000)
Here’s what that looks like for Relic stats:
- Body: Crit damage
- Feet: HP or speed
- Orb: HP
- Rope: HP
Evernight teams
Evernight is meant primarily for Remembrance teams, either as a support unit who helps heavy-hitters hit even more heavily or as a primary damage dealer who takes advantage of low enemy defense and her own high crit damage to clear mobs. However, you can still play her in a non-Remembrance team with the right supports. She won’t be able to max out the benefits of her third passive trace, which requires additional Remembrance characters to activate, but the rest of her kit is powerful enough to where that doesn’t really matter.
Given Evernight’s crit damage and defense reduction, she works exceptionally well in Castorice teams, either alongside Remembrance Trailblazer or as a replacement.
Having three other Remembrance characters means you get Evernight’s full set of buffs, while Hyacine’s healing and Evernight’s HP absorption ensure Castorice can bring Pollux onto the field quite regularly. Remembrance Trailblazer is there for extra crit damage, which helps Castorice as much as it does Evernight.
If you don’t have Castorice but do have Aglaea, pop her in this team instead. You may want to drop Hyacine in favor of an action advance unit such as Sunday or Bronya, though, since Aglaea is so demanding with her speed needs.
An Evernight main DPS team could look something like this:
- Evernight
- Gallagher
- Remembrance Trailblazer
- Second amplifier
Your second amplifier could increase Evernight’s damage – so, Sunday, Bronya, or Ruan Mei – or reduce the enemy’s defense further, like Silver Wolf, Cipher, or Pela.
