Developer Warhorse Studios and publisher Plaion have revealed Kingdom Come Deliverance 2’s post-launch roadmap for the year, including both free and paid content.
In Spring 2025, players will gain access to a barber that’ll let them customize the hairstyle of the protagonist, Henry. The game will also get a new Hardcore Mode. The first game’s Hardcore Mode included modifiers such as no fast travel and no auto-saves from quests, so it’s likely the sequel’s will have similar modifiers. Players will also be able to participate in a new horse-racing activity. These are all free updates.
Afterwards, new story updates will be part of the game’s paid expansion pass. In Summer 2025, a new quest called Brushes With Death will be added where Henry goes on a new adventure with a mysterious artist. Autumn 2025’s update includes Legacy of the Forge, where Henry can explore the legacy of his adoptive father, restore Kuttenberg’s forge, and become a master blacksmith.
The final update in Winter 2025, called Mysteria Ecclesia, sees Henry explore the Sedletz Monastery as he goes on a covert mission to stop the spread of a deadly illness.
Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 launches on February 4 for PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. It’ll take advantage of the PS5 Pro’s specs, and will not include DRM on PC. The expansion pass is included in the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Gold Edition, which goes for $90; there’s no word on how much it might be sold for separately. Those who want a steelbook will have to preorder it from Walmart, as the Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 Steelbook Edition is a retailer-exclusive.
