GungHo Entertainment has announced that Lunar Remastered Collection will launch on April 18 for PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.

The digital edition will cost $50 and physical copies will be $55. It comes with reversible covers that show two new key artworks, illustrated by Toshiyuki Kubooka, who worked on the original first two games.

The collection contains both Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete and Lunar 2: Eternal Blue Complete. Some new features include both Japanese and English voice acting and the option to speed up battles. In addition to Japanese and English subtitles, this collection will also have French and German subtitles.

Players can choose between the classic and remastered art styles, where the former showcases the original PlayStation’s graphics and the latter adds in widescreen support, revamped pixel art, and HD animated cutscenes.

Lunar: Silver Star and Lunar: Eternal Blue were released for the Sega CD in 1992 and 1994, respectively. They were remade for the original PlayStation as Complete versions and released in 1999.

The collection was announced during the September 2024 State of Play presentation. Subsequent entries in the series hit the PSP and Nintendo DS, such as Silver Star: Harmony, but there’s no confirmation yet on whether they’ll be brought to modern platforms as well.
