Useful Tips & Tricks for Noobs
General
- Prioritise Bond with your party members, because party members have more specific times/circumstances that you can actually raise it, vs non party members, which are usually only locked by virtues/time of day/progress.
- Don’t sweat what order you do things in too much, eventually you should be able to max every bond and virtue.
- Most (all) primary quest dungeons can be completed early and you wont lose those extra days, sometimes it even unlocks additional activities.
- Your party leader’s overworld passive ability applies to everyone, e.g. gain mp on overworld kill gives mp to the entire party, even if only the protag has the mage Archetype equipped.
- When archetypes are at max level, every additional 1k axp you earn with that archetype equipped gives you a 1k axp item, so feel free to keep your favourite equipped and use it to level others.

There is crystal in the last area that spawns huge tooths they can be farmed for health and anergy incense. Just use steal trick+escape and then reengage.

Does the luck stat affect stealing?
Luck is not needed for Stealing as you can instantly reset any battle. Just Steal and if it fails, retry. Also, you don’t need to spend Stat points when you level up. I am sitting on over 40 level up points to be assigned. However, I also have both +20 Str and Magic items to spend evenings on to level up. On Hard.
Is persona master, devil summoner, or soul hacker any good?
- Yeah, they’re all pretty good. Soul Hacker is MP greedy but it has moves that restore MP for each hit and can even ignore resistances.
- Devil Summoner is great if you have the summoning vessels for it.
- And Persona Master really depends on what mask you pair with it.
How does devil summoner work in battle?
You’re basically just having to use the devil summoner exclusive summons. You’re better off using summoner if you don’t have many of them crafted yet.
Is the faker archetype worth it?
It was really useful in the second dungeon for me, debuffs in these games are always very good. Plus the fact that it’s one of the ingredients for the gunners synth skills make it useful for the boss of the second main dungeon.
What are the most important royal virtues?
At the beginning, Wisdom, Tolerance, and Imagination. But really it’s best to level them equally.
Is there any way to force respawn Elmentas for farming?
No, they dont come back unless you didnt kill them.
How should I approach Hulk?
She has a tiny bit more en than everyone else but other than her follower perks I see her and strohl so far to be mostly open canvasses. I’ve had her learn mage and healer so far to help with the cathedral but I’ve found that if you want to make her a tank, inheriting that knight taunt skill onto a class with a resistance that matches a boss’ attacks is a nifty strat.
