New Four-Player Co-Op Shooter From Left 4 Dead Creator Coming To PS5 And PC

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that it’s partnering with Star Wars and Star Trek director JJ Abrams’ video game company, Bad Robot Games, to produce and publish a new co-op shooter from Left 4 Dead creator Mike Booth.

The unannounced four-player co-op shooter is being directed by Booth and is coming to PS5 and PC at some point in the future. No further details were announced, nor were any images released.

Bad Robot Games CEO Anna Sweet said, “We hope to deliver a bold, innovative experience that is truly special for players. I could not be more excited that Mike Booth is at the creative helm, crafting a cooperative adventure that will lead to unforgettable moments with friends.”

Sony’s Christian Svensson, meanwhile, said Bad Robot’s “unique creative voice and passion” for innovation “perfectly aligns with SIE’s mission to craft experiences that resonate deeply with players.”

In 2021, Bad Robot Games announced that it raised $40 million and was working on a AAA new IP. The division was founded in 2018 with the help of Tencent and Warner Bros. Games.

Abrams was previously working with Epic on a game called Spyjinx, but it has vanished.
