Sonic X Shadows Generations Collector’s Edition’s preorder window at Limited Run Games closed in early October, but now fans have another chance to snag one. Amazon is now taking preorders for the $250 Collector’s Edition for PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox. Amazon lists July 31, 2025 as the release date, though Limited Run currently has a July 1-31 delivery window on its site.

This edition looks like quite the treat for longtime Sega fans. Headlined by a statue of Sonic and Shadow with a replica Dreamcast as the base, the Collector’s Edition is packed with the physical goodies. Along with the statue, you’ll get a replica Dreamcast jewel case.
Other notable goodies include a trio of Chao figurines and a keychain featuring modern and classic Sonic’s shoes as well as Shadow’s shoe.
Like many collector’s editions, this one also comes with a steelbook case, soundtrack on CD, and an art book.
Sonic X Shadow Generations released in October, but the Collector’s Edition was not ready in time for launch. That means you’re ordering a “first edition,” not a reprint, from Amazon. Though distributed by Limited Run, this edition of the game was designed by Sega; it’s not part of Limited Run’s official collection.
The standard edition of the game is discounted to $37 for Nintendo Switch at Woot right now (December 11). If you’re looking for a gift for Sonic fans this holiday, the 1,125-piece Green Hill Zone Lego diorama is on sale for a nice discount at Amazon and Walmart.
And if you want to rewatch the first two film adaptations before Sonic the Hedgehog 3 releases in theaters December 20, Amazon has a collection with both films on 4K Blu-ray with steelbook cases for $29.
