Archetype

Archetypes are the foundation of character identity and combat style in RavenIdle. Unlike traditional MMOs where you pick a locked class at character creation, RavenIdle gives you full creative freedom. You are not tied to a single playstyle. Instead, you build your class through a flexible and powerful system of Archetypes.

Your class is defined by the three active Archetypes you choose from eight available options. After reaching level 15 (when you get access to the third archetype), you can freely swap your active Archetypes at any time, allowing you to change your class whenever you want. A small silver fee will be required for each change.

Each Archetype comes with a full set of skills that support a specific role or combat approach. By combining different Archetypes, you create your own class, unique to your strategy.

How does it work?

Archetype slots are unlocked at three points in your journey:

  • 1st Archetype during character creation
  • 2nd Archetype upon reaching level 7
  • 3rd Archetype upon reaching level 15

You can choose between 8 different Archetypes.

  • Archery
  • Holy
  • Protection
  • Shadow
  • Spiritual
  • Warfare
  • Witchcraft
  • Wizardry

There are 56 possible combinations, each of them creating a different class.

Attributes

Attributes in RavenIdle are character points that increase your Vitality, Might, Intelligence, Dexterity, and Wisdom.

How does it work?

As you level up and progress through the game, you’ll gain points that can be invested into Primary Attributes. Each of these affects a variety of Secondary Attributes, which define the power and effectiveness of your character’s skills.

Primary Attributes:

  • Vitality – Increases Maximum Health, Health Regeneration, Spell Defense, Weapon Defense
  • Might – Increases Weapon Power, Weapon Defense
  • Intelligence – Increases Spell Power, Healing Power
  • Dexterity – Increases Haste, Spell Defense, Weapon Defense
  • Wisdom – Increases Spell Defense, Mana Regeneration, Maximum Mana, Healing Power

Secondary Attributes:

  • Spell Power – Boosts spell damage dealt
  • Weapon Power – Boosts weapon damage dealt
  • Spell Defense – Reduces spell damage taken
  • Weapon Defense – Reduces weapon damage taken
  • Healing Power – Boosts healing effectiveness
  • Health – Increases your total HP
  • Mana – Increases your total MP
  • Regeneration – Improves in-combat HP and MP regen
  • Precision – Boosts critical strike chance
  • Impact – Increases critical damage
  • Haste – Speeds up attack rate and reduces casting time and global cooldowns

Tips & Recommendations

Don’t stress over your first build, attributes can be reset and redistributed any time you want. You can press Shift + Left-click to add 10 points at once.

Legacy & Effective Level

Character progression in RavenIdle is built on two intertwined systems: Legacy Level and Effective Level. Together, they show how fast you’re progressing, which skills you can unlock, and what gear you can equip. Rather than focusing on a single, linear level number, this system tracks your overall journey while rewarding the depth of your Archetype combinations.

How does it work?

Legacy Level

This is your character’s total level, and it never resets. As you gain experience through activities in the game, your Legacy Level will continue to rise indefinitely. While there is no hard level cap, experience gain slows significantly after level 75, making it a soft cap for most players. The higher your Legacy Level, the more content, systems, and opportunities you unlock — and some fees, such as changing Archetypes, scale with this level.

Archetype Level

Each of your three active Archetypes has its own individual level and experience bar. When you earn XP, it is evenly divided among all three active Archetypes. This system encourages a balanced build and rewards players who actively engage with all selected trees. Archetype Levels are important for unlocking spells and scaling their power.

Effective Level

Your Effective Level is the average of your three current Archetype levels. This number is key for two reasons:

  • It determines how many skill points you have. For every 3 Effective Levels, you earn 1 skill point to spend in your Archetype Spell Trees.
  • It gates your equipment — certain gear pieces require a minimum Effective Level to be equipped. Consumables also have level locks.

Why does it matter?

The Legacy and Effective Level system adds a layer of depth to your character progression. Rather than rushing to max a single stat or class, you’re encouraged to level all parts of your build and keep your Archetypes in sync.

This structure also ensures that players can continuously improve and refine their builds without ever hitting a true ceiling, while still keeping progression meaningful at higher levels.

Tips and Recommendations

Combine your high level archetypes and low level ones to level them up faster. Equip low level archetypes for actions outside of combat to gain XP without risking death penalties. Unequipped archetypes give you bonus points to allocate on your build, so it’s good to level them up.

Monsters

Monsters are your main enemy when playing RavenIdle. Slaying creatures will grant you experience points, silver, and loot.

How does it work?

Every monster has different attack skills and drops different loot, which you can see by clicking on them in the Monster tab.

Monster level

  • In general, Monsters have three level ranges separated by color.
  • Grey, meaning that hunting them won’t provide XP.
  • Green, meaning that they are on your effective level range and are, therefore, the recommended level.
  • Orange, meaning they have over 10 levels more than your character, being hard or extremely difficult to slay.

Monster drops

  • Trophies: enhances different attributes from your character
  • Crafting materials: items used in craft recipes
  • Creature loot: random items that can be sold to the merchant for Silver

Skill Tree

The skill tree is a list of spells and attacks that an archetype can learn. Archetypes usually specialize in one or two attack types among Weapon Damage, Spell Damage, and Healing.

How does it work?

Every line in the skill tree represents a tier, the first line being the basic attack for each archetype and costing one skill point. From there on, skills cost the same skill point amount as their tier. For instance, tier 2 skills cost 2 points, and so on.

To unlock a skill from a higher tier line, it is necessary to unlock one skill from the tier before.

Skill reset

It is possible to reset your character’s skills by clicking the reset button on top of the tree to maintain your active archetypes. Alternatively, it is possible to reset your skills and archetypes by clicking an inactive archetype and choosing which one you’d like to replace.

Gathering (Farming, Husbandry, Mining, Woodcutting)

In RavenIdle, gathering is the way to collect base materials necessary to craft new items, consumables, and weapons.

How does it work?

Once you click the Gathering menu, you’ll be able to choose which material/activity you’d like to collect. Farming and Husbandry are done in your land, meaning you’ll need to grow crops or animals to collect materials from them. Woodcutting and Mining are foraging activities, meaning you can just choose an item you wish to collect and gather for some time.

Note that idle gathering has a limit of 24 hours, which you can increase using Munk Coins.

Levels

The higher your profession level, the more and better materials you can get from each profession.

Crafting (Blacksmithing, Carpentry, Cooking, Weaving)

In RavenIdle, crafting is how you create the items you need to progress in your journey. Weaving, Cooking, Blacksmithing, and Carpentry will be valuable sources of consumable buffs, weapons, equipment, and armor.

How does it work?

Each item you can craft requires a specific set of ingredients. Some of them require lower level items of the same nature as well, like Tier 2 and up weapons.

Land

Land is your personal space for gathering and production. It’s where you can plant crops, raise animals, chop trees, and collect valuable materials to be used in Tradepacks, crafting, and upgrading gear.

How does it work?

Once you unlock Land (at level 5), you gain access to your own plot where you can upgrade the following professions:

  • Farming
  • Husbandry
  • Woodcutting

Each gathering activity on your Land takes time to complete, but you have different ways to speed up the process:

  • Effort: Instantly complete a gathering cycle by spending Effort.
  • Upgrades: Spend Silver to expand your Land and unlock more tiles, allowing you to plant more resources at once.

Tips and Recommendations

Focus on materials you need for Tradepacks or crafting. Use Effort strategically, it’s a great way to speed up resource production. Expand your Land early to increase your gathering output. Gather before logging out to have crops ready next session.

Infusion

Infusions are a core upgrade material in RavenIdle, used to improve your equipment beyond its base stats. While gear Tier determines its overall potential, Grade determines how much of that potential you’ve unlocked, and Infusions are how you make that happen.

Infusing your gear is essential for long-term progression, offering permanent power boosts to your equipment.

How does it work?

Infusions are dropped by creatures throughout the world, with higher-level and dungeon enemies offering rarer and more valuable ones.

When used, Infusions provide experience to a specific piece of equipment. As the experience bar fills, the item grades up, permanently improving its power.

Equipment Grades

Each piece of equipment starts at Grade 1 (Basic) and can be upgraded through 9 total grades, each one increasing:

  • AP (Attack Power) or DP (Defense Power)
  • Primary Attributes
  • Sub Stats

Higher grades require more Infusion experience and rarer Infusion types, creating a meaningful upgrade path over time.

This system rewards consistency — the more you fight, the more Infusions you collect, and the stronger your equipment becomes.

Why does it matter?

Infusing gear is one of the most important ways to scale your character’s power, especially as you push into higher-level content like dungeons or elite mob farming. It also adds value to long-term use of gear, encouraging you to invest in and grow with your equipment rather than constantly replacing it.

Grade progression makes even early items worth keeping if you commit to improving them.

Tips and Recommendations

Save higher-tier Infusions for gear you plan to use long-term. Focus on upgrading weapons and core armor pieces first for maximum return. Hunt tougher enemies and progress through dungeons for better Infusion drops. Track your gear’s Infusion XP and plan upgrades around major content pushes.

Merchant

The Merchant is the place to go for basic trading needs. It is the place where players can sell items dropped by monsters and purchase essential consumables, such as health potions.

Dungeons

Dungeons are a key progression system in RavenIdle where you face increasingly difficult challenges across an endless series of floors. Each new floor introduces tougher enemies and offers greater rewards, testing how far your build can go.

How does it work?

You start with access to a single daily dungeon run. Using Munk Coins, you can unlock up to four additional entries using Dungeon keys, for a total of five attempts per day to push your limits and climb to new heights.

Each run consists of multiple floors, with difficulty scaling progressively. As you clear floors, you earn Silver, Infusions and Leaderboard Points, with higher floors granting better rewards.

Your rewards are based on the last floor you reached, and you can claim them whether you exit the dungeon manually or are defeated during your run.

To help skip repetition, having a Dungeon Memory Tome allows you to start 10 floors below the highest floor you reached the previous day, so you don’t need to begin from the first floor every time.

Why does it matter?

Dungeons are a core part of your daily progression and a major source of Infusions and Silver. Climbing higher not only improves your character but also gives you a chance to leave your mark on the leaderboard.

Players who are the first to reach new floors will forever be remembered for their accomplishments. Whether you’re chasing power, profit, or prestige, dungeons are where you’ll earn it.

Tips and Recommendations

  • Use your daily entries wisely to maximize reward gains.
  • Don’t forget to claim your rewards before the daily reset!
  • Upgrade your build and gear to push deeper over time.

Tradepacks

Tradepacks are packages crafted by players using gathered materials, then transported to Tradeposts in exchange for Silver. They’re one of the most reliable and profitable ways to convert your resources into currency (Silver).

This system is tightly connected to Land, professions, and resource management, making it a cornerstone of the RavenIdle economy.

How does it work?

Once you’ve collected enough materials, you can combine them to craft a Tradepack. There are dozens of combinations, each with different values and weight, allowing you to strategize around which packs to produce and how far you’re willing to transport them.

You’ll spend Effort to create the Tradepack, and you get Effort by receiving EXP or using Effort Potions from the Munk Shop.

It’s possible to upgrade your Wagon to enable you to carry more Tradepacks in a single delivery!

Tips and Recommendations

  • Plan your Tradepack routes based on material availability and Tradepost distance.
  • Use a Tradepack Booster to double your travel speed for 6 hours.
  • Store surplus materials so you can craft multiple Tradepacks in a single session.

Currency (Munk Coins & Silver)

RavenIdle features two distinct types of currency: Silver and Munk Coins. Each serves a different purpose, with one earned through gameplay and the other used for premium features and convenience.

Silver

Is the primary in-game currency, earned through regular activities such as:

  • Defeating monsters
  • Selling items to the Merchant
  • Completing dungeons

Silver is used in a wide variety of systems, including:

  • Crafting gear
  • Infusing equipment
  • Resetting Archetypes
  • Buying consumables
  • land upgrades
  • wagon upgrades

It is the backbone of everyday gameplay and progression.

Munk Coin

This is the game’s premium currency, acquired by purchasing it through the Munk Shop. It is also possible to obtain Munk Coins completely for free from the free Battle Pass path and from grinding Achievements, each of them give a different quantity of Munk Coins as well.

Munk Coins are used to unlock convenience and cosmetic features, such as:

  • Extra dungeon entries
  • Boosters
  • Effort potions
  • And more

Munk Coins are optional, and the core gameplay is fully accessible without them.

Battle Pass

The Battle Pass is RavenIdle’s seasonal progression system that rewards players for leveling up and completing in-game activities. It’s split into two tiers: a free path available to all players, and a premium path that offers additional exclusive rewards for those who choose to invest.

But unlike traditional battle passes, RavenIdle takes it one step further, turning the premium pass into a competitive earning system powered by the community.

How does it work?

Every player can progress through the Battle Pass by simply playing the game. As you level up the pass, you’ll unlock rewards based on your tier:

  • Free Battle Pass: Accessible to everyone, includes core rewards and progression boosts
  • Premium Battle Pass: Purchased with $QUEST or Coinbase directly in-game for $12, offers extra rewards and access to a share of the prize pool

Here’s what makes RavenIdle’s system unique:

100% of all revenue generated from premium Battle Pass purchases is added to a community prize pool. This pool is then shared among players based on the Leaderboard Points they earn during the season.

The more Leaderboard Points you have, the bigger your share of the total pool.

Prize Pool Breakdown

  • Starts with a $70,000 USD initial investment from the development team
  • Grows with 100% of the premium Battle Pass revenue to up to $570,000 in $QUEST rewards.
  • Distributed at the end of the season based on your position in the Leaderboard Points

This system directly rewards the most active and engaged players with a real opportunity to earn while playing.

Tips and Recommendations

  • Progress your Battle Pass daily to maximize seasonal rewards.
  • Focus on unlocking Achievements, they determine your share of the prize pool.
  • Consider upgrading to Premium to gain access to exclusive rewards and earning potential.

Achievements

Achievements are milestones designed to reward your progress across all areas of the game. Whether you’re leveling up, mastering professions, or delivering a tradepack, achievements track your accomplishments and offer valuable rewards when goals are reached.

How does it work?

When you complete an achievement, you’ll be able to claim a reward. These rewards typically include:

  • Munk Coins
  • Leaderboard Points

You can view your completed and in-progress achievements in the in-game Achievements tab, which also lets you monitor which objectives you’re close to completing.

Why does it matter?

Besides rewarding your dedication, Achievement Points are directly tied to the seasonal Battle Pass prize pool. At the end of the season, the total pool, made up of a $70,000 base contribution from the development team plus 100% of all premium Battle Pass and Munk Coins revenue to a maximum of $570,000, is distributed among players based on how many Leaderboard Points they’ve earned.

In short: the more Leaderboard Points you collect, the bigger your share of real rewards at the end of the season.

This system connects in-game engagement with real competitive outcomes, giving weight to every milestone you hit.

Tips and Recommendations

Make sure to claim your rewards regularly. Combine Achievements with Battle Pass progression for maximum seasonal value.

Munk Shop

The Munk Shop is the in-game premium store where players can purchase Munk Coins and spend them on a variety of premium items, boosters, and quality-of-life upgrades. It is the central hub for those looking to enhance their gameplay experience or accelerate progression through optional purchases.

How does it work?

Using Munk Coins, players can browse and buy from a curated selection of premium items in the Munk Shop. These include:

  • Boosters that temporarily increase your Silver, loot, gathering, or tradepack efficiency.
  • Utility items that permanently improve crafting speed, gathering efficiency, or idle timers.
  • Dungeon enhancements, such as memory tomes and extra daily entries.
  • Effort boosts to speed up progression.

Utilities (Skill Order & Consumables)

The Utilities section allows you to customize how your character behaves during combat. It includes two key tools: Skill Order and Consumables. Together, they give you better control over your efficiency and survivability.

There are two utility options:

Skill Order

This lets you set up a sequence of skills to be used during combat. You can organize your abilities into combos based on your Archetypes and preferred strategy. This system ensures that your most important skills are used in the right order, maximizing your damage or utility, but it is entirely optional, your character will perform just fine in battles without setting any combos.

Consumables

Here, you can decide how your character uses items like health potions, food, and drinks. You set specific conditions for when each should be activated — for example, using a potion when your HP drops below 40 percent. This helps maintain survivability in longer battles and reduces downtime between fights.

Why does it matter?

The Utility system helps you have more autonomy and optimize key parts of your gameplay. Whether you’re grinding, or pushing dungeons, having your skills and consumables behave intelligently gives you an edge.

It also allows for more consistent combat outcomes, better resource management, and smoother idle sessions.

Tips and Recommendations

Adjust potion thresholds depending on the content you’re running. Try different combinations to find the most efficient setup for your build.

Leaderboard

The Leaderboard is where players can track and compare their progress across multiple aspects of the game. Whether you’re focused on leveling, crafting, gathering, or dungeon progression, the leaderboard lets you see how you stack up against the rest of the community.

How does it work?

There are several categories where players can climb the rankings:

Legacy Level

Tracks the highest total character level, representing overall progression.

Effective Level

Ranks players based on the average level of their active Archetypes, showing who has the most optimized classes.

Professions

Includes individual leaderboards for each gathering and crafting profession, allowing players to compete in their area of expertise.

Dungeons

Ranks players based on the highest dungeon floor reached, rewarding those who push the limits of their build with Silver, infusion, leaderboard points and most importantly eternal glory by craving your name as the first to conquer a floor.

Leaderboards are updated regularly and can be viewed in-game, offering a snapshot of the most dedicated and successful players across all categories.

Boosters

Boosters are temporary power-ups that significantly improve your efficiency across different parts of the game for a limited time. They are purchased using Munk Coins through the Munk Shop and are ideal for players looking to make the most out of gameplay sessions.

How does it work?

There are currently three types of Boosters available, each lasting 6 hours from the moment they are activated:

Monster Booster

Doubles the Experience, Silver, and Loot gained from defeating creatures. Perfect for grinding.

Tradepack Booster

Doubles the movement speed while transporting tradepacks, helping you complete routes faster.

Gathering Time Booster

Doubles your gathering speed, allowing you to collect resources from Mining and Woodcutting in half the time.

All Boosters are consumed on use and continue running even if you log out, so make sure to activate them when you’re ready to make the most of the timer.

Trophies

Trophies are rare and valuable items that drop from monsters and serve as powerful, permanent upgrades to your character. Each trophy grants a bonus to a specific attribute, making them one of the most desirable loot types in the game.

How does it work?

Trophies have a very low drop rate, making them a rare reward for players who consistently engage in combat and hunt tougher enemies. When you obtain a trophy, you have two options:

  • Use it to permanently increase one of your character’s core attributes
  • If you have already obtained one of this trophy, you can sell the extra one for Silver.

Each trophy is tied to a specific attribute, for example, one may boost Vitality, while another increases Dexterity. Choosing what trophy to farm to get the best possible outcome for your build is part of your long-term progression strategy.
