Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 3 Is Officially Now In Development

Focus Home Entertainment and Saber Interactive have announced that Warhammer: 40,000: Space Marine 3 is officially in development. Platforms were not revealed yet, but more information will be provided at a later date.

An announcement trailer was released, but it doesn’t show any gameplay or footage at all. It’s just the title and key art of protagonist Captain Titus playing for 16 seconds with the sound of rain in the background.

Now Playing: Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 3 – Official Announcement Trailer

For now, Focus Home Entertainment deputy CEO John Bert said that players can look forward to an immersive campaign, multiplayer mode, and more innovations. The next entry will also introduce even bigger large scale battles. He also said that Space Marine 2 will continue to receive update in the coming years.

“Space Marine 2 has proven to be a transformative game for Saber. It is the culmination of everything we have learned about game development in our 25 years in the business,” said Saber Interactive CEO Matthew Karch in a statement. “We are now starting to develop Space Marine 3, a game that carries with it tremendous expectations from our rapidly expanding fanbase.”

Saber Interactive previously teased a sequel, and Space Marine 2 sold four million copies. While fans wait for Space Marine 3, the next game from the Space Marine 2 devs will be a AAA one from one of Hasbro’s “tentpole” IPs. Additionally, Space Marine 2 will get substantial updates in 2025.

In GameSpot’s Warhammer 40k: Space Marine 2 review, we said, “Space Marine 2 is a fantastic sequel that builds on its predecessor in every way, bombarding you with an overwhelming enemy and chaotic action that makes you feel like a small part of a much larger war.”

A Warhammer 40k movie adaptation with Man of Steel and The Witcher star Henry Cavill is currently in the works over at Amazon.
