Dareel and Samin of Windward Plains have plenty of work for you in Monster Hunter Wilds, constantly requesting you to get to know the Endemic Life of each biome and bring a specific critter back. After asking you to bring him a Dapperwing, Samin will next have his sights set on acquiring a Rime Beetle.
There are a lot of beetles in Wilds, but the Rime Beetle sticks to cold climates such as Iceshard Cliffs. So, pack up a Hot Drink and let’s get going. Here’s where to find a Rime Beetle in Monster Hunter Wilds.
Where to find a Rime Beetle in Monster Hunter Wilds
Rime Beetles are found in the Iceshard Cliffs biome in Monster Hunter Wilds, and they’re relatively easy to spot given that these critters are typically seen pushing around a large snowball.
On top of that, Rime Beetles are one type of Endemic Life that is fortunately marked on the map for you. Look for the small, blue icon shown on the above map of Iceshard Cliffs, set it as a Waypoint while atop your Seikret, and your companion will march you straight over there.
Typically, a group of Rime Beetles can be found in Area 2 of Iceshard Cliffs. Though, you will find some lone beetles maneuvering their snowball around the rest of the biome. For example, more Rime Beetles can be found in Area 11 and Area 13.
When you approach a Rime Beetle, make sure to capture it using your Capture Net to fulfil Samin’s quest. Firing your Hook Slinger at it will bag you some Nulberry from the critter’s snowball, but won’t actually capture the beetle itself.
Once captured, return to Samin at Windward Plains Base Camp to report your findings!
