Atomfall has multiple keys to discover, which makes sense given the myriad of locked doors and bolted-shut bunkers you’ll regularly run into. The Castle Key is one such key that you may find and not know the use of, or perhaps you’ve found the hidden keyhole it belongs to, but have no idea where they key is hiding.
Fortunately, that’s where this guide comes in. Below, we’ve explained exactly where to find the Castle Key in Atomfall, and where to use it.
Where to find the Castle Key in Atomfall
The Castle Key is found inside of the Castle Ruins (in the Druid’s Camp) located in Casterfell Woods in Atomfall. To grab it, enter the Castle Ruins via front-entrance, which is the two grey double-doors.
Inside, keep left and wander through the kitchen area, keeping a careful eye on the counters that are on your left-hand side. The Castle Key is just laying on one of the counters, and can be easily missed or mistaken for crafting materials.
Where to use the Castle Key in Atomfall
With the Castle Key now in your possession in Atomfall, head to the main banquet hall of Castle Ruins and look at the fireplace at the back of the room. To the right-hand side of it, there’s a small hidden keyhole where you can use the Castle Key.
Upon using the key, the fireplace will move, revealing a path into the back portion of the Castle Ruins. If you haven’t already explored here via the side entrance found in the Druid’s Camp (a short walk away from the castle’s main entrance), you’ll find a cave network, lots of Druids, and lots of loot (including an Atomic Battery).
In the room just beyond the fireplace however, there is a library to the right. Here, you’ll also be able to retrieve the Strange Tonic Recipe (which helps defend you from the Infection status effect) and Mother Jago’s Book, which is an item that is part of Mother Jago’s quest.
